  • Arsenal to win @ 6/5
  • Leandro Trossard to score anytime @ 11/4

Team News

West Ham left-back Emerson returns to contention after missing Sunday's 1-0 loss at home to Everton through suspension.

David Moyes is expected to make several changes but Mexican midfielder Edson Alvarez could keep his place because he is suspended for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Brentford.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to rotate his squad but he is unable to consider injured trio Thomas Partey (muscle strain), Gabriel Jesus (thigh) and Jurrien Timber (knee).

Match Odds

Arsenal are the favourites for this clash and are 6/5 to win inside normal time. A draw is priced at 12/5 and West Ham can be backed at 9/4 to advance without theneed of a penalty shootout.

Both teams to score is available at 4/6, while over 2.5 goals is quoted at 5/6.

West Ham to lose and both teams to score, which has transpired in two of the Hammers’ last three games, can be backed at 3/1.

Arsenal to win @ 6/5

Arsenal don't have much of an EFL Cup pedigree but they are keen to compete on all fronts and can get the better of West Ham in their fourth-round clash at the London Stadium.

The Gunners have won the EFL Cup on just two occasions and their last success in the competition came in 1993 when they were 2-1 Wembley winners against Sheffield Wednesday.

However, Mikel Arteta guided them to FA Cup glory in 2020 and he might fancy his chances of steering the club to another major final.

Early exits for Tottenham, Brighton, Aston Villa and Manchester City have removed four of the main contenders and Manchester United's last-16 tie with Newcastle guarantees at least one heavyweight fourth-round casualty.

Arteta may be sensing an opportunity and he could deploy key playmaker Martin Odegaard, who was rested for Saturday’s 5-0 success at home to Sheffield United.

It should be a stronger Arsenal team than the XI which started the third-round tie at Brentford and they can pile on the misery for the Hammers, who are on a three-game losing sequence.

West Ham looked short of confidence and ideas when losing 1-0 at home to Everton on Saturday and their poor run could continue.

Leandro Trossard to score anytime @ 11/4

Leandro Trossard was part of Arsenal’s strong substitutes’ bench at the weekend and the Belgian can take advantage of a rare start by scoring against West Ham.

Patience has been required of Trossard, who has not started for his club since the October international break.

However, he has contributed four goals this season and has the ability to cause problems for a second string West Ham backline.

Trossard popped up with the equaliser in this month’s 2-2 draw at Chelsea and he can impact another London derby.
