Daniele Fisichella Serie A Tips

Matchday 31 was a profitable one for our Italian Football expert Daniele Fisichella, as two of his three Best Bets came in. Roma scored first in the Rome Derby along with Inter winning with under 3.5 goals scored to give him his two winners.

He'll no doubt be hoping to go one better this week and go three for three as he brings us his best Weekend Football Betting Tips from Serie A for Matchday 32...

Weekend Football Betting Tips

  • Lazio vs Salernitana - Home Win & Under 3.5 Goals @ 10/11
  • Lecce vs Empoli - Double Chance (Lecce/Draw) & Under 2.5 Goals @ Evens
  • Torino vs Juventus - Over 8.5 Corners & Under 3.5 Goals @ 10/11

With Inter Milan only two wins away from securing the Scudetto, the focus is all on the battle for a top-four finish and to avoid relegation.

Lazio, still hurting from the defeat in the derby, opens the match day against bottom of the table Salernitana. An easy win for Igor Tudor’s men?

On Saturday Empoli travels to Salento to face Lecce in a six-pointer before the Turin Derby, where the hosts, Torino, are looking to break a bad record.

Lazio vs Salernitana (Friday, time: 19:45)

After three tough matches (against Juve and Roma) it will be interesting to see the Biancocelesti in action in a game they’re expected to dominate.

If the hosts will be able to replicate the same intensity the showed during Igor Tudor’s first game in charge (the last-minute 1-0 win over the Bianconeri) they should have no problem at defeating Italy’s worst defence, Salernitana.

Lazio’s hopes to play in Europe next season are slim and the remaining seven fixtures would represent a sort of farewell tour for many of the over 30s, including the club all-time goalscorer Ciro Immobile, that will leave the club in the summer.

The visitors have only achieved three points in 2024, the worst record in Europe’s top five leagues and their relative second divisions, and this season have lost seven times without scoring away from home.

On the other hand, Lazio have only won two domestic games by more than one goal margin.

A win for the hosts and Under 3.5 Goals pays 10/11.

Lecce vs Empoli (Saturday, time: 14:00)

Separated by only one point in the table, Salentini and Tuscans have only scored five times overall in the previous 10 Serie A games combined.

Luca Gotti’s men have only won one of the last eight and haven’t celebrated a goal in four of the previous five matches played at the ‘Stadio Via Del Mare’.

Weirdly tough Lecce are fifth for shots taken in Italy’s top flight (they average 13 per game, having had 27 against Roma and 11 last week against AC Milan), but will be without their leading goalscorer, Nikola Kristovic, who’s suspended.

Empoli have netted three times against Torino but their xG (expected goals) value in that game was only of 0.49.

The visitors have improved after the second managerial change of the season and under Davide Nicola, a specialist in achieving miraculous salvations (ask Crotone and Salernitana fans), they’ve only lost four away games since December.

A point on Saturday will make both teams happy and the double chance Lecce or Draw and Under 2.5 Goals has Evens odds with our #PickYourPunt tool.

Torino vs Juventus (Saturday, time: 17:00)

The Bianconeri are unbeaten in the last 17 matches against their city rivals but Torino hope to break their negative record in what is considered Italy’s most one-sided derby.

In fact no other team in Serie A has defeated the Granata as many times (77) as Juve have done so far, and Massimiliano Allegri’s men have always scored in the previous 15 derbies when they played as visitors.

A win on Saturday could turn Torino’s season from average to positive, but Ivan Juric’s side has lost five of the previous seven games against teams starting the matchday in the top three positions of the table.

Torino have kept 10 home clean sheets during this campaign (a record, same as Inter and Bologna), whereas Juve have won 12 games without conceding.

As the vast majority of the derbies in Italy this one could also be extremely cagey and decided by an episode.

Both teams will defend narrowly and try to hit their respective target men, Vlahovic and Zapata, with crosses from the flanks. In fact Torino are third for crosses and Juventus eight.
