Another weekend and another busy round of fixtures north of the border. It’s all go in the Premiership as Celtic aim for the three points needed to return to the top of the division, while under fire Aberdeen has a point to prove at Fir Park following the shock departure of Neil Warnock from Pittodrie.

Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse aims for another winning accumulator after being so close a week ago. He picks three teams worth backing on Saturday at a handy 8/1 as part of his Weekend Football Accumulator Tips this weekend. Keep reading for the selections and the latest odds available on the Betfred website and app.

Weekend Football Accumulator Tips

  • Hibs beat Livingston @ 1/2
  • Kilmarnock beat St Mirren @ 23/20
  • Aberdeen beat Motherwell @ 2/1
  • Overall Odds - 8.67/1

Hibs beat Livingston @ 1/2

Hibs enjoy home advantage over Premiership anchor Livingston on Saturday, and the team from Easter Road should make it count. They’re seventh in the table and on an impressive five-game unbeaten run, collecting nine of the 15 points available. That purple patch includes a 2-0 win over Ross County when last playing at this venue, and they also met the Staggies in Dingwall on Wednesday evening, drawing 2-2.

Livingston didn’t have a midweek game, which afforded David Martindale a few extra days to prepare for this crucial trip to the capital. The Lions arrive stuck at the bottom of the league, winless in three, having lost to Ross County and Motherwell before battling for a surprise 1-1 draw at St Johnstone last time. We’ll continue to oppose Livi in the closing weeks of the season unless they show us something more.

Kilmarnock beat St Mirren @ 23/20

It's a roll of the dice here as two ambitious sides meet at Rugby Park, where Kilmarnock plays St Mirren. The home team has improved since the arrival of former Aberdeen boss Derek McInnis and is now pushing hard for a top-four finish and a spot in Europe next season. Killie started the week in fifth place with 41 points on the board following two wins, two draws, and a defeat in their last five. Home advantage should give them an edge in an otherwise competitive match.

It’s difficult to oppose St Mirren as they have played well this season, performing much better than most pundits predicted. A top-six finish would be a huge achievement for the Saints, but they’re dreaming of more and a spot in Europe. St Mirren are fourth and unbeaten in three games, but we’re taking Kilmarnock to nick a narrow win on their patch.

Aberdeen beat Motherwell @ 2/1

What a mess Aberdeen is in at the minute, and it's fast becoming a forgettable season at Pittodrie. The Dons did reach the final of the League Cup, where they lost 1-0 to Rangers at Hampden. They also made a rare appearance in the group stages of European competition but are stuck at the wrong end of the division and are dangerously close to the relegation zone. Dropping to the Championship would be a disaster for a club with the Dons’ outgoings, but there’s still time to claw their way up the ladder.

Will Aberdeen beat Motherwell at Fir Park? It’s a big ask, especially with Well in eighth and winning each of their last two league starts. The hosts are safely tucked away in mid-table and have a chance of working their way into the top six, but Aberdeen’s need for points is greater than Motherwell’s, and that should show in the result. We’ll require a rub of the green here and for Aberdeen to be at their best, but the odds reflect that.

The overall odds for this treble come in as 8.67/1 as of the time of writing, meaning the using implied odds, our traders think this set of results would come in just over 10% of the time.
