The Scottish Premiership is back, and followers can enjoy some exciting fixtures with five games included on Saturday’s schedule. Rangers host Hibernian at Ibrox and could return to the top of the Premiership with Celtic at Livingston on Sunday. There are also mouth-watering ties at the opposite end of the table.

Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse sent readers into the international break on a high after tipping an impressive 8/1 treble, including Aberdeen's surprise win over Motherwell. He aims to keep the good times rolling and provides another Saturday treble at attractive odds. Read on for Frank's weekend football accumulator tips.

Weekend Football Accumulator Tips

  • Aberdeen (H) to beat Ross County @ 8/11
  • Hearts (H) to beat Kilmarnock @ EVS
  • Dundee (A) to beat St Johnstone @ 6/4
  • Overall Odds - 7.63/1

Aberdeen (H) to beat Ross County @ 8/11

We’re sticking with Aberdeen to build on that impressive and hard-fought 1-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park before the international break. After just 34 days in charge, Dons parted company with short-term manager Neil Warnock. It was a disappointing time for the experienced boss, who couldn’t help his side climb the table towards safety.

Aberdeen fans will hope the break allowed their players time to relax, recover, and prepare for an important end to the campaign. Their goal now is to put as much daylight between themselves and the relegation zone as possible, and they can take a step in the right direction by beating Ross County at Pittodrie.

The Staggies also won last time but are second bottom of the league and have already lost three times against Saturday’s opponents, including a 4-0 defeat at this stadium back in the summer. Let’s stick with Aberdeen.

Hearts (H) to beat Kilmarnock @ EVS

Game of the day comes from the capital, where Hearts host Kilmarnock at Tynecastle. The Jambos are third in the pecking order and with an 11-point cushion over Kilmarnock in fourth, they look likely to remain there until the finish line. A home victory on Saturday over an improving Killie would go some way to proving Hearts is Scotland’s third team behind the Old Firm this season. They also have a Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden on the horizon.

We’ve backed Kilmarnock to good effect many times since Derek McInnes took charge, but we’re against the men from Rugby Park on this occasion. They’re fourth in the league after 30 games but have managed just two wins in their last five league starts and failed to defeat Hearts in three previous tries.

The Jambos won 1-0 at Rugby Park when the sides last met with a William Dennis own-goal the difference between the rivals on that occasion. Hearts look value to repeat the feat at Tynecastle.

Dundee (A) to beat St Johnstone @ 6/4

The final leg of our Saturday treble from the Scottish Premiership sees us swap home comforts for an ambitious team on their travels. Dundee visit Perth, where they’ll play St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, with the home team dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The Saints have won just one of their last five league games and are one point and a place better than Ross County in the relegation zone. Pressure is mounting on Craig Levein and his underfire side.

Dundee are three places higher than their hosts in the Premiership and are already nine points clear of danger with a game in hand over Ross County. The team from Dens Park is looking up rather than glancing over their shoulder at the mess below. They’ve performed above expectations this season and still hope to gate-crash the top six party.

Dundee has won two and drawn one of its last five and is unbeaten in two, following a home draw against Kilmarnock with a 1-0 home win over Aberdeen. They’re rested and ready for a big finish to the season, starting with this trip to Perth.
