Ukraine vs Czech Republic Prediction: Goals expected in Wroclaw

Ukraine will be looking to build on their victory over Georgia when they take on Czech Republic at Wroclaw Stadium on Monday (19:45, YouTube). It was their first victory in the Uefa Nations League and they have the chance to close the gap at the top with another victory.
The Czech Republic have won two games on the spin, including against Ukraine in the previous international break. Read on for my Ukraine vs Czech Republic prediction, featuring match odds and team news.
Ukraine vs Czech Republic Odds
Ukraine are 13/8 to win this match, giving them an implied probability of 38.1%. Czech Republic are valued at 7/4, which gives them a theoretical chance of 36.4%. The draw is available at 11/5 (31.3%).
Over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1/1 and both teams to score is marketed at 8/11.
Czech Republic's Tomas Chory scored a brace against Albania last time out and he is priced at 13/5 to score anytime on Monday. His teammate Pavel Sulc scored twice when these two sides met last month as Czech Republic came out on top as 3-2 winners. He is 18/5 to find the back of the net at any stage during this fixture.
Vladyslav Vanat was one of the scorers for Ukraine in that defeat and he can be backed at 11/5 to score anytime. Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk scored the winning goal against Georgia on Friday and he is 4/1 to get on the scoresheet again.
Team News
Ukraine are without Arsenal's versatile Oleksandr Zinchenko due to a calf issue. Everton left-back Vitaliy Mykolonko is also out with an injury. Winger Viktor Tsygankov and Ruslan Malinovskyi are also unavailable.
Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin was forced to pull out of this month's squad due to illness. The Real Madrid man was replaced by Shakhtar Donetsk's Dmytro Riznyk, but he could not get in ahead of Anatoliy Trubin for the Georgia match.
After receiving his first senior call-up this month, Dmytro Kryskiv made his debut from the bench on Friday but it looks like he will have to wait for his first start.
Roma forward Artem Dovbyk led the line in that game after missing last month's fixtures through injury. He will be looking to add to the 10 goals he has already scored at international level.
Czech Republic have no fresh injury concerns for this clash but Bayer Leverkusen attacker Patrik Schick remains out.
Striker Chory should continue up top after his two-goal display against Albania. Vaclav Cerny will be hoping to join him in the final third again. West Ham United's Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal should continue in midfield and defence respectively.
Both teams to score @ 8/11
After these two sides delivered an enthralling five-goal thriller last month, there are high hopes from neutrals that this meeting can produce another spectacle. It was a close encounter which Czech Republic managed to shade. I'm expecting this to be another tight contest and I think BTTS will land again.
The two sides were also on the scoresheet in their last outings as they both picked up valuable three points. They will both be feeling confident heading into this clash and they both possess players who can make a difference in the final third.
Eyes will be on Czech Republic's Chory after scoring twice the other night, and he will look to keep his good form going on Monday. Ukraine's Dovbyk will also want to get back on the scoresheet for his country as it has been a few months since he last scored for them. I wouldn't be surprised to see the two front men find the back of the net in Wroclaw.

Over 2.5 goals @ 1/1
With that in mind, I also think over 2.5 goals is worth backing at 1/1. It landed in the reverse fixture between these two sides last month, and I am more confident we will see goals in this encounter thanks to Ukraine picking up their first Nations League win against Georgia.
I've already mentioned that both sides have a variety of players who can make an impact in the final third and I do think this game will be designed for the strikers to have a big impact.
They both have big incentives for this match as Ukraine can try and close the gap at the top of the group as they are just three points behind both Czech Republic and Georgia.
Czech Republic have the chance to give themselves some breathing room at the top with a victory, and if Georgia were to slip up against Albania. This match could have a huge impact towards the conclusion of this group and I think there will be plenty of goals in store on Monday.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
