Udinese vs Inter Milan Prediction: 9/1 scorer to maintain visitors’ title charge

It's surely a case of when, not if Inter Milan are crowned champions of Italy once again and the league leaders have a chance to extend their sizeable advantage when they travel to relegation-threatened Udinese on Monday night (19:45).

Udinese may have home advantage but they are big outsiders at 7/1 to register the win, with the draw on offer at 7/2, while Inter are strong favourites at 2/5 to take another step closer to the title.

Goals are expected with over 2.5 priced at 8/11, while Inter scoring at least three by themselves listed at 13/8. Udinese could have a say in this contest with BTTS available at 10/11, while at least one clean sheet is 4/5.

Team News

Udinese's cause is not helped by their leading scorer Lorenzo Lucca being suspended and they will be looking for his deputy, Isaac Success, to register his first goal of the season against the league's best defence.

Gabriele Coffi's attacking options are limited with Keinan Davis and Brenner joining long-term injury victim Gerard Deulofeu on the sidelines.

Inter will again be without Juan Cuadrado due to an Achilles problem with Marcus Thuram set to continue alongside Lautaro Martinez up front, while defenders Alessandro Bastoni and Stefan de Vrij both face late fitness tests.

Marko Arnautovic is pushing for a first involvement in nearly a month, although Yann Sommer is expected to return in goal.

Inter are fast closing in on the Serie A title and have been the dominant force throughout the campaign but particularly on the road, winning 12 of their 14 games while they have yet to taste defeat.

What is perhaps more impressive is the fact that they have conceded only six league goals away from the Giuseppe Meazza, but not at the expense of their attacking intent as they share the lead for most goals scored with 34, although Milan have conceded 26 along the way.

Udinese have won just one Serie A game at the Stadio Friuli all season and although they have also drawn nine, none of those were against the runaway leaders, and Inter is a massive step up.

The Zebrette are without their top scorer but they are poor offensively anyway, having scored 29 in 30 games so far, and Inter will not necessarily have to pull out all the stops to chalk up a 26th win of the season.

Matteo Darmian to score anytime @ 9/1

Their Champions League exit may just have knocked the confidence of one or two players as they perhaps have not been as free-scoring of late, compared to earlier in the campaign.

Both Inter and Serie A's leading marksman Lautaro Martinez is the favourite at Evens to score at anytime but he has not scored in any of his last four games for the club and there looks to be value elsewhere.

Marcus Thuram can be overlooked at 6/4 having not scored since February, with Alexis Sanchez looking an intriguing proposition at 7/4, having scored twice in the last four games.

However, soemthing of a chance is taken on a surprise with Matteo Darmian available at 9/1. The former Manchester United defender doesn't score many but he has scored his only two goals for Inter this season within the last five games, and he looks big enough to take a chance.
