Tromso vs Kilmarnock Prediction: Killie to struggle in Norway

Kilmarnock and Tromso shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Europa Conference League third qualifying round clash, leaving the Scottish side with it all to do in their return trip to Norway.
Bobby Wales scored his first Killie goal in stoppage time to set up a winner-takes-all second leg at the Romssa Arena and home advantage is likely to be of some aid to Tromso.
Whoever progresses will play FC Copenhagen or Banik Ostrava in the play-off round, with the Danes leading 1-0 ahead of the second leg in the Czech Republic. Below you can find my Tromso vs Kilmarnock prediction.
Tromso vs Kilmarnock Betting Tips
Team news
Killie head coach Derek McInnes may well opt to make changes, having been deeply unhappy with the performance in the 3-0 home loss at the hands of St Johnstone at the weekend.
McInnes was particularly critical of his side’s defending, so that would seem to be the area where changes will most likely be made.
Tromso vs Kilmarnock Odds
Tromso have lost only two of their last nine matches and, having drawn 2-2 away at Rugby Park in the opening leg, they are strong favourites now armed with home advantage at 8/15.
Killie are 9/2 to spring the surprise while a repeat of last week’s draw is available at 11/4.
On the evidence of last week’s four-goal showing, over 2.5 goals may represent some value at 4/5, while both teams to score can be backed at 5/6.
Tromso to win & over 2.5 goals @ 7/5
Kilmarnock required an injury-time equaliser to spare their blushes in the opening leg against Tromso, who thought they had stolen a first-leg lead with the second half goals from Jakob Napoleon Romsaas and Lasse Nordas.
However, it was the Norwegian visitors who, despite not exactly dominating, seemed more comfortable in possession and were the more threatening.
In even more familiar surroundings, at the Romssa Arena, Tromso could be even more dangerous and they are expected to defeat Kilmarnock, who have lost their opening two games in the Scottish Premiership.
A 4-0 loss at Celtic has been followed by a 3-0 defeat at home to St. Johnstone and they may be second best against a Tromso side who have been beaten by only Rosenborg in their last six outings.
An early goal could soon spark this contest into life as the other chases the tie and it may lead to another high-scoring encounter, one which the hosts should win.
Second half to be the highest scoring @ 21/20
Three of the four goals in the opening leg were scored in the second half and backing that to be the highest scoring half again in a winner-takes-all tussle must make punting appeal.
Neither side will be wanting to take any unduly early risks, but they may be forced to as things open up in the second half and that is when the floodgates could open.
That means five of Tromso’s last six goals have been scored in the second half and it is likely to be them that creates the most chances.
