Tottenham vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips: Fouls picked out in away win

Fans of Tottenham Hotspur aren’t in the best of moods right now. They have just watched their side lose to Bournemouth, a result that saw them drop to 10th in the Premier League table. A London derby against Chelsea on Sunday is the last thing they probably want, but it is what they have got, and you can watch it live on Sky Sports at 16:30.

I’ve taken a dive into the statistics to try and come up with a bet builder that could tickle your fancy. Read on for my Tottenham vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips for this massive Premier League encounter.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips

  • Chelsea to win
  • Cole Palmer to score at anytime
  • Noni Madueke 1+ shot on target
  • Moises Caicedo 2+ fouls

Bet Builder pays 5/1

Chelsea to win

Quite a straightforward one. Chelsea currently sit top of the form table over the past six matches, while Spurs have failed to win in their last three. The 4-0 win at Manchester City now feels very long ago indeed and fans were arguing with Ange Postecoglou at full-time at the Vitality Stadium.

The frustration appears to be boiling over, and it feels like he is now on the brink, which is perhaps surprising given the underlying statistics look pretty good. His side have created an average of 1.78xG per match, a total only Manchester City can beat.

Having said that, I’m still going to back the away side to win fairly comfortably. They won home and away against Spurs last season, and their last game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium was that crazy encounter where the home side went down to nine men, and Nicolas Jackson scored a hat-trick. Spurs have only won one of their last 10 meetings with Chelsea, so I’m happy to back them to lose yet again.

Cole Palmer to score at anytime

Given he performed so well last season in his first season at Chelsea, this season Cole Palmer hasn’t hit the headlines in the same way. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t performing at a seriously high level in 2024/25.

He has scored nine goals already this season from 21 shots on target and 41 shots in total, as he continues to take on the goalscoring responsibility for this Chelsea side. Enzo Maresca is getting the best out of him, while he is also combining well with Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson. He’s also Chelsea’s designated penalty taker so I think it makes sense to back him to find the net against Spurs.

Tottenham vs Chelsea Odds

Noni Madueke 1+ shot on target

Madueke has locked down that spot on Chelsea’s right wing and he is emerging as another one of Chelsea’s key men. It may surprise you to learn that Madueke has only had one less shot on target than Palmer, and the same number as striker Jackson (20) over his 14 league appearances so far.

He’s scored five goals so far, and had 42 shots in total, so I think it makes sense to back him to get another one on target in this one, against a Spurs backline that hasn’t looked very secure in the absence of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. They don’t seem able to stop the rot right now, and Chelsea can take full advantage.

Moises Caicedo 2+ fouls

Now I would be keen to back cards in this one, but sometimes the bar is set incredibly high for bookings in these derby matches, so instead I have turned my attention to fouls. Moises Caicedo has quickly emerged as the lynchpin of this Chelsea midfield and he is the combative midfielder that all the top teams desire.

He’s made 28 tackles and 28 fouls in 14 appearances so far, and that equates to two-per-game. In my mind then, it makes sense to boost our odds by backing Caicedo to commit two fouls in this one, especially up against the likes of James Maddison, who can be a slippery customer. This takes our Bet Builder to 5/1
