There is a lot on the line for both Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley when they meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (KO, 15:00). The hosts must win to keep their top-four hopes alive, while the visitors require a victory themselves to stand any chance of survival.

Below you can find my Tottenham vs Burnley prediction, as well as all the latest team news and match odds heading into this crucial Premier League clash in north London.

Tottenham vs Burnley Betting Tips

  • Tottenham to win & both teams to score @ 21/20
  • Son Heung-min to score two or more goals @ 7/2

Tottenham are currently in fifth place on 60 points, seven behind Aston Villa, who are on the cusp of qualifying for next season's Champions League at the expense of Ange Postecoglou's side, who are paying the price for four successive defeats.

Meanwhile, Burnley could be relegated straight back to the Championship this weekend, after a three-game unbeaten run was ended in humiliating fashion last week as they were beaten 4-1 at home by Newcastle United, who moved to within four points of Spurs with that victory at Turf Moor.

There was little to separate Spurs and Burnley when the sides last met in January, with the Lilywhites requiring a 78th-minute winner from Pedro Porro to win 1-0 and knock the Clarets out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage.

The reverse league fixture back in September produced a lot more goals, however, as Spurs tore their opponents apart 5-2. Son Heung-min was the star of the show as he struck a hat-trick in Lancashire.

Team News

Spurs have a lengthy injury list containing the likes of Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie and Timo Werner, and Postecoglou could opt to make some changes to his starting XI after another harrowing defeat last time out.

James Maddison and Richarlison were second-half substitutes at Anfield as Liverpool tore through them 4-2, but the duo will hope to earn recalls on Saturday, especially the Brazilian, who scored for the first time since February 3.

Burnley have several players sidelined themselves including Jordan Beyer, Luca Koleosho and Aaron Ramsey.

Chelsea loanee David Datro Fofana, who has scored four times since joining in January, could be thrust back into the starting XI after being restricted to a substitute appearance last weekend.

Match Odds

Spurs are 1/3 to end their month-long winless run, giving them an implied win probability of 75%, while Burnley can be backed at 13/2 - or a 13.3% chance - to record their fourth and final Premier League away victory of the campaign.

The draw is available at 5/1, both teams to score at 2/5, and over 4.5 goals at 5/4.

Tottenham to win & both teams to score @ 21/20

74% (26/35) of Spurs' Premier League games this term have ended with both teams scoring, and only Luton Town (29) have seen BTTS - Yes land on more occasions. Of those 26 matches, Spurs have won 12.

Both teams to score has landed in 61% (22/36) of Burnley's league games, including eight of their last nine games, with the Clarets only managing to win three of them.

Quite simply, both sides need to win on Saturday, which should lend itself to an exciting encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ultimately, the hosts should have too much for their visitors, whose vulnerabilities were exposed by a couple of potent Newcastle forwards last weekend in Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak.

Spurs' attackers showed what they could do when afforded the space by Burnley in September's reverse fixture, and while they have not been on form in recent weeks, the drop-down in level of opposition should help them to restore some confidence.

Tottenham to beat Burnley & both teams to score at 21-20

Son Heung-min to score two or more goals @ 7/2

It's been an improved season in front of goal for Spurs captain Son, who has already scored seven more (17) Premier League goals than he did in the entirety of the previous campaign (10), despite playing four fewer games.

Despite his side's horrific run of results, the South Korea international has remained a threat, finding the net against both Liverpool and Arsenal.

He'll now surely be relishing the opportunity to face Burnley at home, against whom he struck a hat-trick earlier in the season.

The Clarets shipped four to Newcastle last week and have suffered heavy away defeats to the likes of Crystal Palace, Everton and Brentford (all 0-3).

If Spurs net multiple times on Saturday, you'd back Son to be among the goals as he hones in on 20 for the season.

Son Heung-min to score two or more goals in Tottenham vs Burnley at 7-2
