Spurs vs Arsenal

A monumental north London Derby takes place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon (14:00) as Spurs will be hoping to spoil the title party for Arsenal.

There's always a lot at stake in these north London derbies but it's more meaningful as Arsenal sit atop the Premier League with 77 points. The Gunners have played a game more than Manchester City but have a far superior goal difference to Liverpool, which means they just need to match their results from now on.

Below you can find my Tottenham vs Arsenal prediction as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Prediction

  • Spurs or draw - double chance @ 21/20
  • #PickYourPunt - Bukayo Saka and Son Heung-min to score anytime @ 5/1

Team News

Spurs will be without Destiny Udogie but Pedro Porro should be fit enough to be involved. In addition, Ben Davies and Emerson Royal are both in contention to feature on Sunday. Richarlison will also return to the fold, after three weeks out of action.

As for the Gunners, they came out of the thumping victory over Chelsea unscathed, meaning that they have no fresh injury concerns heading into Sunday's clash.

Match Odds

Spurs are 3/1 - or a theoretical 25% chance - to put a dent in Arsenal's title hopes, while the visitors are favourites at 7/10, and the draw is priced up at 11/4.

The reverse fixture at the Emirates ended 2-2, and a repeat of that scoreline can be backed at 11/1.

Spurs or draw - double chance @ 21/20

As mentioned in the introduction, there's always plenty at stake in a north London derby, but Spurs will be desperate to end Arsenal's dream of winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2004, as well as boosting their own chances of securing Champions League football for next season.

While the Gunners were excellent against Chelsea in midweek, the Blues are an unpredictable outfit and they were missing their star player in Cole Palmer. Spurs are a more well-rounded side, and I think that Sunday's hosts could chuck a spanner in the works of Arsenal’s title charge.

The Gunners welcomed Spurs to the Emirates for the reverse fixture following a run of three straight victories – including a 3-1 win over Manchester United and a 4-0 rout of PSV – yet could only muster up a draw. Rivalry can bring the best out of teams – as we saw on Wednesday night with Everton beating Liverpool.

Ange Postecoglou's men have lost just one of their last eight home clashes with the Gunners and have won eight of their last nine league games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, suggesting they should have enough to earn at least a point against their bitter rivals on Sunday.

Spurs or Draw - double chance at 21-20

#PickYourPunt - Bukayo Saka and Son Heung-min to score anytime @ 5/1

With the departure of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min has took on the role of being Spurs' main man, and is enjoying an excellent campaign.

The South Korea international has scored 15 Premier League goals this term, as well as six in his last eight appearances against the Gunners, which includes both of Tottenham’s goals in the reverse fixture in September. The 31-year-old could have a big part to play on Sunday.

Arsenal have a deadly winger of their own in Bukayo Saka and the England international has four wins and three losses in his eight appearances against Tottenham, notching two goals and two assists in that time.

The 22-year-old has been crucial to the Gunners' title charge, along with a host of other players, but he tends to come alive in the big moments for Mikel Arteta's side.

Saka and Son to score anytime at 5-1

Betfred are running their famed Double Delight & Hat-trick Heaven offer on this match, meaning that if a player scores first and then nets again, you will be paid at double the odds. If he grabs a hat-trick, you will be paid at treble the odds.
