Tottenham to win
The first north London derby is upon us and Arsenal will be travelling to Tottenham looking to bounce back from dropping two points against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.
Mikel Arteta's side will look depleted on Sunday, with Declan Rice suspended after his red card against the Seagulls, while Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard both picked up injuries on international duty.
Even though the Gunners are favourites for the game, I'm backing my old side to secure their first derby win since May 2022.
Despite the frustrating results against Leicester City and Newcastle United, with a win over Everton sandwiched in between, I believe Ange Postecoglou's side have been unlucky not to have three wins from three, after throwing two points away against the Foxes, and dominating against the Toon Army only to end up with nothing to show for it.
A derby could be what they need to kickstart their campaign, and this may be the best time to face the Gunners, due to the injuries to key players.
Both teams to score
During his time in England, Postecoglou has shown that he is committed to his attacking philosophy and even against the better sides in England's top-flight, the Aussie isn't prone to taking a back seat for better or worse.
Both teams to score landed against Leicester and Newcastle, while this bet also landed in Arsenal's draw with Brighton before the international break, and would have paid out in both north London derbies last term - a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium and a 3-2 Gunners win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
This fixture has historically seen both teams score more often than any other in Premier League history, happening 43 times so it seems an obvious area to consider when looking ahead to Sunday's showpiece.
Clean sheets tend to be elusive when Spurs lock horns with another top-four contender so both teams should get on the scoresheet here.
Over 3.5 goals
As I've alluded to above, north London derbies tend to produce goals - there have been 30 strikes in the nine games played since 2020!
Similar to the both teams to score punt, this bet would have also landed in both of last season's encounters between the pair - four goals were scored at the Emirates and five in the reverse fixture at Spurs' homestead.
Neither side are short of firepower - Arsenal were the second-highest scorers last year, scoring 91 goals over the duration of the 2023/24 campaign, and they've scored 21 times in their last nine outings.
Despite the departure of Harry Kane, who is this fixture's top scorer with 14 goals, Spurs still have one of the deadliest forwards in the league in Son Heung-min, who has scored eight times against Arteta's side.
In addition, this fixture is the fourth highest-scoring fixture in Premier League history with a total of 186 goals scored so I'm expecting plenty of goalmouth action on Sunday.
Son Heung-min to score anytime
Which leads me nicely onto my next pick - Son to score anytime.
Son never pitted his wits against Arsenal while donning the colours of Bayer Leverkusen, but he has since become accustomed to tough tests against the Gunners, whom he has taken on 20 times in a north London derby setting.
The 31-year-old has only been on the correct end of the scoreline six times, but his three most recent strikes against Arsenal all came during the 2023/24 campaign, including a penalty in his last game against them and a maiden derby brace last September at the Emirates.
Summer signing Dominic Solanke is expected to return to action for Spurs on Sunday, and is another anytime goalscorer option, but he's endured a frustrating start to life at the club, after his big-money move from Bournemouth.
Therefore, I'm leaning towards the South Korea international to score anytime this weekend.
A penalty to be awarded
My final pick for Sunday's showdown is for a penalty to be awarded.
North London derbies are usually feisty affairs, and no fixture in Premier League history has seen more penalties awarded than this match, with a total of 26 spot-kicks being given.
You'd have to go back to the 2017/18 campaign for the last season that didn’t see a penalty awarded in one these meetings, so there's a good chance this bet lands on Sunday.
