Serie A returns this weekend after the international break and title challengers Inter Milan travel to Torino for a 17:00 kick-off on Saturday. The Nerazzurri need all three points having lost top spot to AC Milan before the break and below I’ve previewed the match and picked out a couple of selections.

Torino vs Inter Milan Tips

  • Inter Milan to win @ 4/5
  • Lautaro Martinez to score 2+ @ 13/2

Team News

Marko Arnautovic remains out with a long-term muscular injury for Simone Inzaghi but aside from that, he has a reasonably fit squad to choose from. The international break will deliver its usual fatigue when his players return, but he should be able to play what is close to his preferred XI here.

Meanwhile Torino are without Brandon Soppy, but could welcome back influential centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno, who is trying to return for this match after a spell on the sidelines.

Match Odds

Torino are 18/5 to win this match and a draw can be backed at 13/5. Inter Milan are 4/5 for the win.

Inter Milan to win @ 4/5

Inter have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three Serie A fixtures, so you can see why they have lost top spot. The 2-2 draw against Bologna last time out was particularly disappointing given the home side had gone two goals up in double quick time.

However, given the slight drop off, an international break may have come at the right time. Inter still boast a squad with quality running throughout it. Inter have won six of their eight matches so far this season, and have a perfect away record so far, only dropping points at San Siro.

If we look at Torino, they’ve been dismal in front of goal of late, failing to score in their last three outings. They are a lower/mid-table outfit, and should be blown away by Inter here.

Lautaro Martinez to score 2+ @ 13/2

Of all the Inter players, the one who catches the eye is Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez. He is simply sensational in front of goal and has become Inzaghi’s talisman. Well on his way to another Golden Boot, he has scored a remarkable ten goals in eight games, four more than the talented Victor Osimhen at Napoli.

Here, he should be able to find the net again, and the odds on him to score more than once are generous at 13/2. Martinez has been unstoppable so far in Serie A, and he can enjoy a profitable return to club football.
