With the Premier League done and dusted and the domestic English football season finishing this weekend with the FA Cup final, you could be forgiven for turning your attention to Euro 2024. Gareth Southgate will announce his England squad later today, as the Three Lions hope to win the competition for the very first time.

With all of that to come, it may have gone under the radar that the U17 European Championship began in Cyprus yesterday. That competition continues today with four live matches, as England’s Young Lions get their tournament underway. Below is a list of the games available to watch in the UK on Tuesday, May 21 with kick-off times and match odds.

The first two matches of the day both come from the U17 European Championship as Slovakia face Sweden in Group C and Spain take on Portugal in Group D, with both games kicking off at 16:00. Spain and Portugal are both in England’s difficult group, along with France, so that game will take on extra importance for English fans.

England face Spain on Friday night in their second group game, but first Greg Lincoln’s men must try to take down France. These two teams met at St George’s Park in March when France ran out 2-1 winners, captain Chris Rigg was sent off in that game, while England’s goal was scored by Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri. They meet again tonight, with kick-off at 18:30 and the game is live on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport.

Also kicking off at that time is Italy U17 vs Poland U17, while there is still some domestic action across Europe to be tidied up. Tonight, we have a play-off semi-final from Ligue 2 as Rodez take on Paris FC for a place in the promotion final against Saint-Etienne. Auxerre and Angers have already been promoted automatically but one of these three clubs will join them. This semi-final kicks off at 19:30.

There’s also a Serie B play-off final to take in, as US Catanzaro host Cremonese in the first leg, with kick-off at 19:30. These teams are dreaming of a spot in Serie A, and will hope to keep their promotion hopes alive with success here.

Elsewhere we have three Swiss Super League matches that will decide the bottom half of the table, with FC Basel hosting Yverdon in what has been a disappointing season for a side we are used to seeing in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, FC Copenhagen can keep their title hopes alive if they beat AGF Aarhus in the penultimate game of the Danish Superliga. If they win there, they will close the gap on Brondby and Midtjylland to just one point.
