Team News

Gregor Kobel is set to start between the sticks, likely protected by Manuel Akanji and Nico Elvedi at the heart of the defence.

Sunderland's Granit Xhaka will start in midfield, with Breel Embolo expected to lead the line.

As for Germany, Jonathan Tah and Nico Schlotterbeck will start in defence, with Joshua Kimmich likely to retain his place at right-back.

Florian Wirtz will be deployed on the left flank, with Leroy Sane expected to start on opposite side, supporting Nick Woltemade in attack.

Switzerland vs Germany Predicted Lineups

  • Switzerland: Kobel; Widmer, Elvedi, Akanji, Rodriguez; Xhaka, Freuler; Ndoye, Manzambi, Vargas; Embolo
  • Germany: Baumann; Kimmich, Tah, Schlotterbeck, Raum; Gross, Goretzka; Sane, Gnabry, Wirtz; Woltemade

Switzerland vs Germany Odds

Switzerland are 11/5 to taste victory on the night, while the draw is 13/5 and Germany are currently priced at 21/20, giving them an implied win probability of 48.8%.

Both teams to score is 4/7, and the last time these two sides met resulted in a 1-1 draw - the same scoreline can be backed at 13/2.

Switzerland vs Germany Stats

  • Switzerland are unbeaten in their last 10 matches
  • Germany have won 5 matches in a row

Correct Score - 1-1 @ 13/2

As mentioned in the introduction, both sides are in decent form heading into Friday's contest, which makes it difficult to split the pair.

For that reason, I'm going to back a Correct Score - 1-1, as two of the last three meetings between the two sides has finished this scoreline.

The Swiss are unbeaten in their last 12 at home, and with both managers possibly experimenting with their sides ahead of the World Cup, I can see this one finishing a score draw.

Nick Woltemade to score anytime @ 7/4

Woltemade has had a turbulent time up at Newcastle United, and the goals may have dried up domestically, but he's in cracking form for his country.

The former Werder Bremen man has scored four goals in his eight national team appearances, with all four strikes coming in his last three outings.

At 7/4, he's certainly worth considering for the anytime goalscorer market, in my opinion.
