Stoke City will be looking to distance themselves further from the Championship relegation zone as they host West Bromwich Albion at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday (15:00). They fought back to earn a point against fellow strugglers Huddersfield Town last time out and they now have a five-point cushion on the bottom three.

Albion fought back to salvage a draw at home to Watford on Monday in a 2-2 scoreline. They have now drawn two on the bounce but they still sit eight points comfortably inside the play-off places. Here are our Stoke vs West Brom predictions, featuring match odds and team news.

Stoke vs West Brom Betting Tips

  • Draw or West Brom @ 4/9
  • Over 1.5 West Brom goals @ 7/4

Match Odds

Stoke are 8/5, or a 38.5% chance to come out on top in this West Midlands clash, while West Brom are 13/8 (38.1%)to get back to winning ways. The draw can be backed at 2/1 (33.3%).

Both teams to score is valued at 4/5 and over 2.5 goals is 11/10.

West Brom's Brandon Thomas-Asante netted in the draw with Watford last time out, taking his tally for the season in the Championship to 10. He is 5/2 to find the back of the net at any time against Stoke on Saturday.

Team News

Stoke are going to be without duo Ben Pearson and Lynden Gooch, who both have hamstring injuries. It is looking likely that the duo will not feature again before the end of the season.

West Brom have some personnel issues of their own. Boss Carlos Corberan is still without striking options Josh Maja and Daryl Dike, leaving Thomas-Asante as the only recognised forward in the squad.

Draw or West Brom @ 4/9

The two recent draws that Albion have picked up could suggest they are getting complacent with their position inside the play-off places, which could bode well for Stoke, who are still looking to ensure their Championship status.

Steven Schumacher's men have picked up four points in their last two games, which has helped them gain some degree of comfort in the relegation scrap. However, as has been the case all season, they struggle to find consistency in their results which makes them difficult to back.

That is why we like the insurance of this double chance market. West Brom's quality does outmatch that of the Potters, but seeing as they have perked up in recent games, we cannot rule out this one being a draw.

Albion cannot afford to be complacent despite being in a comfortable position in sixth, and Corberan will be eager for them to get back to winning ways.

Draw or West Brom at 4/9

Over 1.5 West Brom goals @ 7/4

West Brom have been having some joy in front of goal in recent weeks. Of their last eight matches, Albion have scored two or more goals in six of them. Against a Stoke side that has failed to find consistency throughout the season, they will fancy themselves to grab a couple once again this weekend.

Of course the Potters have looked sharper in recent games but they are facing one of the better sides in the division and this game will be a real marker as to whether they have turned a corner. At 7/4, this market offers excellent value and cannot be overlooked.

Over 1.5 West Brom goals at 7/4
