Braga and Union Berlin go head-to-head on Wednesday evening (20:00), in what could be a battle for third place in Group C.

The hosts must win in order to keep their hopes alive of reaching the knockout stages for the first time, while Union continue to seek a first victory since August in any competition.

Sporting Braga vs Union Berlin Prediction

  • Braga to win and both teams to score @ 11/4
  • Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4

Team News

Braga have no notable injuries to contend with, so they should be at full strength for this pivotal encounter.

As for Berlin, Danilho Doekhi, Sheraldo Becker and Brendan Aaronson all missed the weekend clash with Augsburg, but could feature on Wednesday. However, former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci will miss out here due to a hamstring injury.

Match Odds

Braga are 11/10 to claim a vital three points, while Berlin are priced up at 9/4 for the victory, with the draw 13/5.

Both teams to score is 4/7 and over 2.5 goals in the match is 4/6.

Braga to win and both teams to score @ 11/4

After losing their first two home games in this group, Braga have the chance to turn things around on Wednesday night.

The hosts have won three of their last four matches and they should overcome a Union Berlin side who are in woeful form. In fact, Braga's only loss in their last five at home was the 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid back in October.

The visitors have lost 13 of their last 15 games, but I do fancy them to score against a Braga outfit who have seen BTTS land in their last nine home outings.

Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4

The reverse fixture between these two sides produced over 3.5 goals, and with both teams needing a victory, I can see over 3.5 goals landing once again.

The hosts stuck six past Portimonense at the start of the month, before putting four past the same side in the Taca de Portugal fourth round at the weekend.

Braga were 3-2 winners at the Olympiastadion, and as mentioned above, both teams have found the back of the net in Braga's last nine outings at home, so goals could well be on the cards here.
