Sheffield United Bramall Lane

The Premier League returns this weekend and Sheffield United are still hunting for their first win of the season. The Blades currently sit bottom with just one point to their name, and unless things pick up soon, will be making an instant return to the Championship.

Below we’ve previewed their clash with Wolves and picked out a couple of selections.

Sheffield United vs Wolves Tips

  • Wolves to win and BTTS @ 11/4
  • Hwang Hee-Chan to score @ 7/4

Team News

Paul Heckingbottom has a whole host of defensive injuries to deal with. Chris Basham, Anel Ahmedhodzic, John Egan and Max Lowe are all out, while attacker Oli McBurnie was taken off with a groin injury against Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Wolves are likely to be without Pedro Neto, who has played so well this season. Joseph Hodge and Hugo Bueno also remain out, but Gary O’Neil will be satisfied with the squad he has available.

Match Odds

Sheffield United, despite playing at home, are the underdogs for the win at 11/4. The draw is available at 5/2, and Wolves are priced at 19/20 to take all three points. BTTS is 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is 5/6.

Wolves to win and BTTS @ 11/4

Sheffield United simply can’t buy a win at the moment. With the defensive injury crisis and now an issue with striker Oli McBurnie, Heckingbottom is struggling to get his side going. After major summer sales, the Blades don’t even look as good as they did in the Championship last term.

Wolves to win at odds-on is still too short to back as an outright, but the away side have looked impressive in recent weeks. They were tipped for relegation but since O’Neil’s arrival, they have pulled off some impressive results.

They’ve beaten Man City and drawn with Newcastle recently, but interestingly, their last eight matches have ended BTTS. Meanwhile Sheffield United scored against both Man Utd and Fulham which leads me to believe that both teams will find the net here, but Wolves will take all three points at Bramall Lane.

Hwang Hee-Chan to score @ 7/4

Wolves have looked strong going forward, especially in recent weeks and one man in top form is Hwang Hee-Chan. The South Korean has scored seven goals this season and three in his last four matches, having formed a wonderful partnership with Matheus Cunha.

Against a Sheffield United side that has conceded a whopping 29 goals in ten matches so far, we can expect Wolves to create several chances, and Hwang Hee-Chan can take full advantage.
