Arsenal will face a tough test in the Champions League on Tuesday night (20:00) when they travel to face the Europa League serial title winners Sevilla.

The Gunners will be looking to pick up their second win of the campaign while Sevilla are yet to pick up three points in Group B.

Sevilla vs Arsenal Betting Tips

  • Sevilla or draw (Double chance) – EVS
  • Erik Lamela to be shown a card – 9/4

Match Odds

Despite not yet tasting defeat in the Champions League, Sevilla are 3/1 to pick up three points at home against Arsenal. If you think that they can secure a draw for the third-straight match then you can back it at 5/2. Arsenal are the favourites heading into the match at 8/11.

Both teams have scored in five of Sevilla’s last six Champions League matches, you can back this selection at 4/6 for Tuesday’s clash.

Over 2.5 goals is at the short price of 8/11, while over 3.5 goals is more tempting at 2/1.

Team News

Sevilla only look to have two absentees to deal with in midweek with goalkeeper Alfonso Pastor and striker Mariano Diaz likely to miss the Arsenal match.

Jurrien Timber is Arsenal’s sole absentee at present while goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could come back into the fold after some recent shaky performances from David Raya.

Sevilla or draw (Double chance) @ EVS

Sevilla are seeking their first win in Europe this term and Arsenal will provide them with a difficult challenge. The hosts are unbeaten at home in their last five across all competitions and given their pedigree in the Europa League, it is going to be a tough place for Arsenal to visit.

The Gunners were left stunned last time out when their poor record against Lens got worse as they slipped to a defeat away from home. This suggests that Mikel Arteta’s side are vulnerable on their travels in Europe and this could play into Sevilla’ hands, especially when their home can be a fortress.

Erik Lamela to be shown a card @ 9/4

Given his history in north London as a Tottenham Hotspur player, Tuesday’s fixture will be extra special for Sevilla’s Erik Lamela. He played in 11 North London derbies and he is famously remembered for a stunning rabona goal against the Gunners in 2021 which earned him the prestigious Puskas Award that same year.

The wide man always made sure he got into the physicality of the rivalry and always made sure he showed aggression when playing against Arsenal. In his 11 appearances against them, Lamela picked up seven yellow cards. And with the player already picking up four yellow cards across all competitions this season, this feels like a smart selection.
