Pisa vs Como Prediction: Lean on Lariani to punish hosts

Tuesday’s early Serie A action (14:00 GMT, DAZN) sees Pisa host high-flying Como at the Arena Garibaldi in a clash that pits a relegation‑threatened side against one of the league’s surprise European contenders. Como arrive in Tuscany in excellent form, having recorded back‑to‑back wins without conceding and sitting firmly inside the top six.

Their rise under Cesc Fabregas has been one of the stories of the season, with the Lariani combining defensive discipline and efficient attacking play. Pisa, meanwhile, are bottom of the pile and in deep trouble. They have won just once all season and finished 2025 with a dismal 2-0 home defeat against Juventus.

However, last season’s Serie B runners-up earned a vital point at fellow strugglers Genoa last weekend to remain within three points of safety. But the pressure is mounting on manager Alberto Gilardino to start turning draws into wins. Below you can find my Pisa vs Como predictions.

Team news

Pisa head coach Gilardino is expected to make minimal changes as he searches for stability.

Malthe Hojholt should continue in midfield, in place of Isak Vural, who missed the last game with a knock.

There is a strong chance that M’Bala Nzola, who served a Serie A suspension while with Angola at the Africa Cup of Nations, returns to the starting XI.

Como head coach Fabregas can recall star man Nicolas Paz, who was only fit enough for a cameo appearance against Udinese, and defender Diego Carlos is now available after serving a one-match ban.

Fabregas will again be without Assane Diao, Alvaro Morata and Edoardo Goldaniga, but winger Jayden Addai could recover from a flexor injury to feature off the bench.

Pisa vs Como Predicted Lineups

  • Pisa - Semper; Canestrelli, Caracciolo, Bonfanti; Toure, Leris, Aebischer, Hojholt, Angori; Moreo, Nzola
  • Como - Butez; Smolcic, Ramon, Carlos, Valle; Da Cunha, Caqueret; Vojvoda, Paz, Rodriguez; Douvikas

Pisa vs Como Odds

Pisa are priced at 18/5 to win, with Como available at 4/5 and the draw at 5/2.

Over 2.5 goals is 11/10, while both teams to score is 10/11.

Como’s six-goal top scorer Paz is 9/5 to score at any time, while Pisa striker M’Bala Nzola is 5/2 any time and 13/2 to break the deadlock.

Today's Football Fixtures

Como to win & Under 3.5 Goals @ 13/10

Como have been one of Serie A’s most consistent defensive sides in recent weeks, recording two straight clean sheets and climbing into the European places. Their structure, discipline and efficiency make them well‑suited to controlling matches against struggling opposition.

Pisa, by contrast, have failed to win in their last seven matches and sit bottom of the table with just 12 points. Their attack has been blunt, and their home form offers little encouragement.

Como should have enough quality to take all three points in a match unlikely to become a goal‑fest.

Football Odds

Anastasios Douvikas Anytime Goalscorer @ 11/8

Como’s Greek striker Anastasios Douvikas has taken almost a year to really find his feet in Italian football.

A prolific goalscorer in the Eredivisie with Utrecht earlier in his career, his first big move flopped when he managed only 10 goals in 52 La Liga games for Celta Vigo.

But Douvikas is beginning to show the predatory instincts that Como identified when they signed him last February.

The 26-year-old has bagged three goals in his last six starts for the Lombardy club and struck the inside of the crossbar with a shot that somehow stayed out in Como’s 1-0 win over Udinese last weekend.
