Team News
Argentine forward Santiago Gimenez is a long-term absentee for Milan, with the 24-year-old recovering from ankle surgery. Central defender Matteo Gabbia is out with a knee hyperextension, which is also expected to see him miss the Cagliari game on Friday.
Rafael Leao has been absent with a muscle adductor complaint, but looks set to return at San Siro.
Top creator Hellas Verona creator Giovane had to come off in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina. But his ankle injury is thought to be minor and he is expected to start here. Verona head coach Paolo Zanetti will be without Tomas Sustov (ACL) and Domagoj Bradaric (bicep).

AC Milan vs Hellas Verona Stats
- Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri has never lost at home to Hellas Verona during his managerial career. The 58-year-old boasts 16 wins, three defeats and two draws against today’s opponents during his time at Milan, Sassuolo and Juventus.
- Hellas’ Giovane has four Serie A assists this season, the most of any player on either side. Milan have five players tied on two assists, including Luka Modric and Alexis Saelemaekers.
Christian Pulisic anytime goalscorer @ 11/10
Surplus to requirements at a Chelsea side signing players by the bucketload, the USA international has been a revelation in Milan. Pulisic was the second-top club scorer in his first Serie A season before topping the charts last term.
Pulisic has picked up where he left off, with his seven goals in 10 league outings putting him at the top of the Milan mountain. Three of those have come in the ex-Borussia Dortmund man’s last three games. Pulisic is a wise pick to add to that total at San Siro on Sunday.

There are two Milan’s this winter in Serie A. The one which shuts games down, as in their 1-0 victories over Lazio and local rivals Inter. Then there is the one that becomes embroiled in old-fashioned, gun-slinging shoot-outs. Regard those 2-2 draws with Parma and Sassuolo and their 3-2 victory against Torino.
In Verona’s last eight games, both teams have scored on seven occasions. Only miserly Lecce kept Zanetti’s men out in a 0-0 win during that run. I think Milan’s propensity to involve themselves in goal-fests will match well with Verona’s adventure to give us a game of undulating advantage. One in which both teams get on the scoresheet.
