The Scottish Premiership presents a fascinating five-match programme on Saturday, with all but one game kicking off in the much-loved 15:00 start. That’s great news for fans travelling to the stadium and those placing weekend accumulators.

Betfred’s Scottish football writer, Frank Monkhouse, heads into the weekend in strong form and tipped a winning accumulator earlier this month in the Scottish Cup. He picks four teams to follow, including away wins for Kilmarnock and Rangers for his Saturday Football Accumulator Tips this week...

Aberdeen to beat Motherwell

The Dons are difficult to nail down this season due to their erratic form. Jimmy Thelin’s men went from battling for the top spot in the league and beating Rangers at a packed Pittodrie to desperately trying to cling to a top-four finish. Aberdeen are in danger of losing out on the prize places, but a home win over Motherwell would get them back on track.

Aberdeen are winless in three games, following a defeat with back-to-back draws. But they are at Pittodrie, and that will give them a vital edge. Well are no pushovers, but Aberdeen won 2-1 when Motherwell were last in the Granite City, and the Dons have beaten Well here in each of their previous two. Take a treble and hope the locals deliver.

Hibs to beat St Johnstone

Hibs enjoy home advantage when welcoming St Johnstone to Easter Road. The Hibees started the weekend in third place following a sensational run of form. The team from the capital struggled in the early exchanges but turned things around and shot from the bottom of the league into the bronze medal position. The hosts have won four and drawn two of their previous six Premiership games.

St Johnstone journey from Perth to the nation's capital showing decent form. The Saints have won two and drawn two of their previous six league starts. They are unbeaten in three, collecting five of the nine points available. But St Johnstone are bottom of the league after failing to win 23 of 30 starts. Easter Road isn’t an easy place to get points, and I expect the home team to edge a battle.

Kilmarnock to beat St Mirren

Moving to our first of two away wins, we’re taking Kilmarnock to score a long overdue win, throwing themselves a lifeline in the battle to beat the drop. The visitors arrive winless in three but did land an impressive draw with high-flying Hibernian at Rugby Park last time. That’s a solid foundation to launch their fightback and move through the ranks.

Killie enjoy a long unbeaten run against Saturday’s opponents and scored a 2-0 win when the pair last crossed paths in early January. Kilmarnock collected a 1-0 victory in Paisley last season and a 2-2 draw here earlier in this campaign. We’ll need Derek McInnes and co to be at their best, but Kilmarnock are a good bet if they are.

Rangers to beat Dundee

Wrapping up Saturday’s accumulator, we hope to still be in the running by the time Rangers take to the field to play Dundee. Barry Ferguson takes his Gers side into this game on the back of a stunning 3-2 away win over Celtic in the Old Firm Derby. They also won at Rugby Park and in Istanbul.

Dundee are second from the bottom of the league and have won only one of their last six league starts, losing four in that period. They’re winless against Saturday’s opponents this season, conceding five goals and scoring only one. Back Rangers to round off our acca.
