There’s one game in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday as Rangers travel to Dingwall, where they’ll face relegation-threatened Ross County in a match scheduled to be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Football from Midday.

Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse predicts a big win for the visitors but why in his Ross County vs Rangers predictions as part of his big match preview here on Betfred Insights...

Ross County vs Rangers Betting Tips

  • Rangers win to nil @ 9/10
  • Tavernier to score @ 6/4

Ross County welcomes Rangers to Victoria Park, with the home team living dangerously in the relegation zone. It appears Livingston are already down, meaning County will finish in the relegation playoff unless they’re able to find improvement in the closing weeks of the campaign. The Staggies have lost each of their last two but remain within touching distance of St Johnstone and safety. A tense final few games await, starting on Sunday.

The visitors arrive in Dingwall like a bear with a sore head after seeing Wednesday’s game away to Dundee called off for the second time. The pitch at Dens Park was unplayable yet again, and it’s becoming something of an embarrassment for the club and the Scottish Premiership. Rangers now have two games in hand over Celtic and know they must win the first of them on Sunday to turn up the heat on the current leaders.

Ross County vs Rangers Odds

The pre-match betting odds are as you’d expect to find when a team battling against relegation plays an opponent fighting for the title. Both sides are under pressure for different reasons, with the locals knowing time is against them if they are to improve a place and avoid being dragged into a relegation dogfight. The home win is 11/1 at Betfred.

Rangers are the visitors, but this is their second trip of the week after journeying to Dundee, only to see the match postponed. Philippe Clement’s side knows they must return to winning ways and respond correctly after losing three goals and two points last weekend in the Old Firm derby. An away win is 1/5, with the draw 6/1.

Rangers win to nil @ 9/10

It may seem strange tipping Rangers to win to nil on Sunday away to Ross County, especially after losing three goals to Celtic, but the stats support us on this one. Some of the defending in the derby was nothing short of disastrous, with captain James Tavernier causing a goal inside the opening 60 seconds and Conor Goldson conceding a penalty for a ridiculous handball.

Dingwall is never an easy place to visit, especially under pressure, but Rangers have won here without conceding in each of their last two attempts, scoring a combined three goals. They won 2-0 back in August when former manager Michael Beale was at the helm, thanks to goals from Kemar Roofe and James Tavernier.

Tavernier to score @ 6/4

Rangers captain James Tavernier endured a mixed bag last week, causing a goal before scoring from the penalty spot later in the contest. He’ll want to make amends, first by helping lead his side to a win and clean sheet, but he’s proven he can find the net here in the past, and we’re backing him to repeat the feat on Sunday.

The right-back has scored two goals in his last six games against Ross County, and it would be no surprise to see him bag another vital strike when his club needs him most. He remains on penalty duty while often taking charge of free kicks in the danger area. With Gers pushing hard for goals, he’s good enough to enhance his already impressive tally.
