Roma have endured an inconsistent start to the campaign and will be hoping to find some more solid form following the international break.

They begin by hosting struggling Udinese, who are just two points above the Serie A drop zone after winning just one of their first 12 games of the campaign.

Roma vs Udinese Betting Tips

  • Roma win to nil @ 11/8
  • Romelu Lukaku to score at anytime @ 6/5

Match Odds

Roma can be backed at 4/7 for the victory, while Udinese are 5/1 outsiders and the draw is available at 3/1

Team news

Roma’s injury issues have subsided in recent weeks and their long-term absentees - Chris Smalling, Tammy Abraham and Marash Kumbulla - are the only players set to miss out on this clash.

Captain Lorenzo Pellegrini was forced to skip international duty but he has been training and should feature.

For Udinese, Gerard Deulofeu, Kingsley Ehizibue, Enzo Ebosse and Brazilian striker Brenner remain sidelined but Christian Kabasele returns from suspension.

Festy Ebosele did not feature for Ireland with a muscle strain but could make an appearance in this clash.

Roma win to nil @ 11/8

Roma are among the top scorers in Serie A this season but have struggled for consistency and went into the international break 13 points adrift of league leaders Inter Milan. A 0-0 draw in the Derby della Capitale against Lazio saw them enter the break down in seventh place in the standings.

However they have been solid at home with four wins, a draw and just one defeat from six games in their own back yard.  They have also landed a winnable first game back as they take on Udinese, who they have beaten in 12 of the last 14 meetings at the Stadio Olimpico.

The visitors have won just one league game this term and their injury issues and typically chaotic off-the-field affairs have not helped.  Udinese have only scored eight goals in 12 league games and that poor record could be set to continue.

Roma have recorded three wins to nil in their last four home games and can extend that record with another in this clash.

Romelu Lukaku to score at anytime @ 6/5

Romelu Lukaku has been a major bright spot in Roma’s otherwise frustrating start to the season, returning to the form that saw him as one of Europe’s most dangerous strikers.

The Belgium international has nine goals in 14 games in all competitions and seems to be thriving in Jose Mourinho’s system.

The 30-year-old carried that form over into international duty, netting four times for his country, Belgium, in their 5-0 win over Azerbaijan, and looks worthy of consideration to get on the scoresheet again in this clash.
