Jose Mourinho found himself under pressure early this term, but he’s managed to turn things around at Roma and get them moving in the right direction.

Sunday’s clash with Monza will be another test for the Giallorossi’s turnaround but they should have enough, with a familiar name set to continue his fantastic run of form in front of goal.

Roma vs Monza Betting Tips

  • Roma to win to nil @ 7/4
  • Romelu Lukaku to score first @ 7/2

Match Odds

Monza head into this clash priced at 4/1 for a shock victory, with the draw an 11/4 shot. You can back both teams to score at 5/6 and over 2.5 goals at 10/11, but as noted above this doesn’t look like it’ll be a high-scoring affair.

The visitors have scored just twice across their four away trips so far, which makes a win to nil for the hosts look tempting at 7/4

Team news

Roma are struggling with injuries at the minute, including Paulo Dybala, Chris Smalling, Renato Sanches and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

For the visitors, Gianluca Caprari is absent for this trip to his former club, while Armando Izzo and Davide Bettella also miss out for Monza.

Roma to win to nil @ 7/4

Roma head into Sunday’s contest off the back of three successive victories, which has lifted them to within two points of the top six. While there’s still work to be done for Mourinho, the fact that his side have scored 10 times across their last three suggests that confidence is flowing.

Monza are going to be a tougher nut to crack, having gone unbeaten across their last five league games. While this is unlikely to be a walkover for the hosts, everything does appear to be clicking for them.

Roma look good going forward, while no side in Serie A has more home clean sheets in 2023. Meanwhile, Monza have lost to nil in visits to Atalanta and Inter Milan already this term. Given that, the hosts look well priced for the victory.

While Monza are in decent shape, they lost by at least two goals at both Atalanta and Inter. Roma look good for a couple of goals, so consider a 2-0 home win at 7/1.

Romelu Lukaku to score first @ 7/2

Lukaku has been in stellar form since returning to Serie A. The forward has scored in nine of his last 10 games for club and country, including each of his last five.

Lukaku has hit five goals across his last five games in the league, while he heads into this encounter having scored the opener in three of Roma’s last five matches.

Monza have conceded first in half their Serie A games this term, while Roma have found the net first in three of their first four home league outings. Given that, back their in-form forward to strike first at 7/2.
