Real Madrid vs Juventus Prediction: Madrid to edge mouth-watering contest

European heavyweights Real Madrid and Juventus will lock horns in the last 16 of the Fifa Club World Cup on Tuesday night (20:00 BST, live on Betfred) at Hard Rock Stadium.

Real Madrid finished top of Group H, picking up seven points from their three matches, while Juventus were second in Group G. Read on for my Real Madrid vs Juventus predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Antonio Rudiger was replaced in the second half against Salzburg last time out due to cramp, but the German international is expected to be fit for this contest.

Kylian Mbappe is yet to feature at this tournament due to illness but the Frenchman is back in training for Los Blancos and could make a substitute's appearance on Tuesday.

Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga remain out, while David Alaba, Endrick and Ferland Mendy are also sidelined.

As for Juvenus, Igor Tudor will no doubt want to make changes to the side that were thrashed 5-2 by Manchester City in their final group game.

Khephren Thuram could return to the engine room, standing in for one of Weston McKennie or Manuel Locatelli, while Randal Kolo Muani will replace Dusan Vlahovic up top, despite the latter scoring in the defeat to City.

Madrid are 4/6 favourites for this game, giving them an implied win probability of 60%, while the Old Lady can be backed at 9/2.

The draw is currently available at 3/1, and Mbappe currently leads the anytime goalscorer market at 10/11.

Real Madrid clinched top spot in their Club World Cup group with a dominant 3-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg last time out, meanwhile Juve will be desperate to bounce back from that humiliating result against City.

The Old Lady suffered a second-half collapse against Pep Guardiola's men but their attacking output of 11 goals across their three group-stage games suggests they are good value to get on the scoresheet in Miami.

I'm going to predict a Los Blancos win as things appear to be taking shape under Xabi Alonso, and although Madrid conceded against both Pachuca and Al Hilal, they scored seven times across their group games.

Juventus displayed their vulnerabilities and limitations against City, and I don't believe they're good enough to keep Madrid's superstars at bay.

With both teams scoring in four of these sides’ six combined matches, backing the same again appeals on Tuesday - along with the Madrid win.

Madrid's Brazilian superstar was in excellent form against Salzburg, scoring a goal as well as setting one up.

The 24-year-old produced 11 goals and eight assists in La Liga this year, and was involved in 10 Champions League goals, scoring eight of them himself.

Juventus couldn't contain the likes of Savinho or Jeremy Doku last time out, so Vinicius has the chance to wreak havoc here and get himself on the scoresheet.
