Real Madrid to win

I simply have to back the home side to reach another Champions League final. Real Madrid are, and always have been, the biggest team in the world. And over the last decade, they’ve probably been the best too. With Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr, they have the talent to pick apart any team on the continent, while we saw at Man City just how stubborn they can be in the big moments.

They’ll be delighted to return to Spain with the scores level, and with Bayern’s defensive frailties they should be able to strike. I am backing Los Blancos to get the job done in 90 minutes.

BTTS

I can’t see either side keeping a clean sheet here, given the attacking quality on show. Scrapping the away goals rule means that Madrid don’t hold an advantage heading into this second leg, and should come out firing on all cylinders. However, as we saw in that 2-2 draw in the first leg, they are susceptible to leaking goals, especially when you consider the attacking talents that Bayern possess.

Harry Kane one shot on target

If Bayern score, it is likely to be their number nine, but I’m going to play things safe and simply back the England captain to get a shot on target. He’s averaging 2.12 shots on target per 90 minutes for the German giants, and scored in the first leg. He should be able to get a shot away in the Bernabeu, even if he doesn’t find the net.

Jude Bellingham to score

The big man for the big occasion. Bellingham relishes the big matches and he is just getting better and better with every performance. He’s scored 23 goals in 40 appearances so far this season, and has got four in nine in the Champions League. The Englishman also loves the Bernabeu, and has scored two in his last two appearances at home. He will play a big part here, and I’m backing him to find the net.

Dani Carvajal to get booked

Old reliable. Dani Carvajal was suspended for the first leg having been booked home and away against Manchester City, and it is in this knockout stage where his nasty side comes out. A true competitor, he has been booked in three of his last four European appearances and will likely pick up another yellow here, up against Bayern’s tricky wingers.
