Rangers return to Ibrox for what will be their second match of the week at the iconic Govan venue. Everyone in blue will be hoping for more of the same following an impressive win over Viktoria Plzen here on Tuesday in a UEFA Champions League qualifier.

Betfred’s Scottish football writer Frank Monkhouse landed two winners from two picks in the Gers' 3-0 win, and he’s after more of the same on Saturday. You can check out his key Dundee vs Rangers Predictions in his full match preview here at Betfred Insights...

Rangers enjoy home advantage for the visit of Dundee in their second Saturday evening kickoff in as many weeks. Russell Martin’s new-look Gers toiled to an underwhelming draw in the league opener at Fir Park, sparking an angry response from the former Southampton boss.

After watching his men surrender a one-goal lead and pass up several chances, only to concede late, Martin joined many fans and pundits in questioning the attitude of his squad. Will he get the response he’s after under the bright lights?

Dundee travel from Dens Park to Ibrox as another Scottish Premiership team that failed to hit the ground running last weekend. Steven Pressley’s Dark Blues stumbled out of the traps, losing 2-1 to Hibs in the City of Discovery.

All three goals were scored in the first half of that match, with the beaten side finishing with just two shots at goal, and one on target. The perfect way to bounce back would be to win in Glasgow, but Dundee have a terrible record at this venue. Will former Celtic man Pressley stop the rot?

Hearts vs Aberdeen TV

The Live SPL TV cameras will be in attendance but it will be Premier Sports 1 rather than Sky Sports broadcasting the match. Kick-off is set for 17:45 and subscribers will be able to Live Stream the game via the Premier Sports Player.

We landed a strong win on Rangers to beat Viktoria Plzen in a UEFA Champions League qualifier on Tuesday evening at excellent odds. But the traders have Rangers on lockdown ahead of Dundee’s visit. There are no surprises in the match-winner betting, with the locals set to kick off as firm favourites.

You can follow Rangers to make it three home wins in a row for Martin at the 1/8 offered by Betfred. That’ll appear in weekend accumulators.

Dundee arrive as the underdogs, meaning they have nothing to lose. Pressley was handed a tough start to life in the Dens Park dugout, playing an impressive Hibs in the opener before heading to Ibrox on matchday two. They gave the Hibees plenty to think about on Sunday, without ever getting near the three points.

Dundee lost both visits to Ibrox last season, conceding our goals and scoring none. The 18/1 for an away win is eye-catching, but it’s unlikely to attract too much attention. Dundee did earn a 1-1 with Rangers at Dens Park in January, and another level finish is 15/2 on the Betfred app and website.

Rangers -1 handicap

Rangers were poor seven days ago when escaping Fir Park with a share of the spoils following a nervy end to the match. But they have impressed under Martin at Ibrox and made some progress in winning over the doubters with victories over Panathinaikos and Viktoria Plzen. It’s two home games for Martin, two wins, five goals scored and a pair of clean sheets. The squad isn’t yet complete, but the new faces have fans excited.

Having secured a strong profit on Rangers in midweek, we aim to keep the good times rolling here. Following the stats, we see Rangers have scored seven goals in their four competitive games so far this term, conceding one in Athens and another in the equally beautiful North Lanarkshire.

The home team boasts a 13-3 aggregate score from their last five home games against Dundee, including a noteworthy 3-0 last September. Back Rangers to win again, and do it in style ahead of their trip to the Czech Republic.

Antman to score anytime

Many players have enjoyed a memorable debut at Ibrox over the years, but few can compete with Rangers' new boy Oliver Antman, who lit up the stadium on Tuesday. Just hours after signing, the 23-year-old Finnish winger played a starring role in that stunning 3-0 win over Viktoria Plzen in a Champions League qualifier. The former Go Ahead Eagles attacker had a shot cleared off the line, won a penalty and provided an assist.

Is there more to come from Antman? He showed enough in midweek to suggest Rangers have a great player on their hands. He’s been capped multiple times for his country, scoring against the likes of Denmark, Slovenia and in a 2-2 draw with Scotland at Hampden. The pressure of Saturday won’t faze him, and I expect the man from Vantaa to open his goals account. Back Antman to hit the net anytime during this match.
