Team News
Ballon d'Or contender Ousmane Dembele withdrew from the France squad after the Uefa Nations League semi-final defeat last week and is the only serious doubt for the French champions, with Bradley Barcola expected to be fine after sustaining a knock in the same squad.
Desire Doue looks to be a certain starter after his heroics in the Champions League final against Inter Milan, where he became the first player ever to contribute to three goals in the fixture.
That apart, Luis Enrique is expected to name a strong lineup for Sunday's contest.
PSG vs Atletico Madrid Stats
- Treble-winning PSG have lost only four of their last 41 matches this term
- Atletico Madrid finished 12 points behind La Liga winners Barcelona
Similarly, Atletico Madrid are also expected to be at full strength.
There were fears that Jan Oblak could miss out after missing the final game of the La Liga season, but the goalkeeper featured for Slovenia on international duty last week.
Alexander Sorloth was also on international duty for Norway, where he scored against Italy and Estonia to add to his hat-trick off the bench in the final league game of the season, but he's expected to settle for a place on the bench behind Julian Alvarez, who enjoyed a fine season in front of goal for Diego Simeone's side.
The newly-crowned champions of Europe are 10/11 favourites for the game, giving them an implied win probability of 52.4%.
The draw can be backed at 11/4, while the Spaniard are currently priced up at 3/1 to win Sunday's encounter.
PSG to win and both teams to score @ 12/5
Given PSG's dismantling of Inter Milan in the Champions League final last month, it's easy to see why they're one of the favourites to lift the Club World Cup and this match is no different.
The European champions also won the French Cup as part of a treble-winning season, and have only lost two of their last 10 games in all competitions – against Strasbourg and Nice when they already had the Ligue 1 title wrapped up. Their form is imperious too, having scored 23 goals across those matches.
However, they did ship eight goals during that run, and I can see Atleti being able to create chances against Enrique's side.
Simeone's men have scored 21 times across their last 10 outings, and won't go down without a fight. So, with all that considered, I'm backing a PSG win and both teams to score.

Julian Alvarez to score anytime @ 13/8
As mentioned above, former Manchester City strike Alvarez has been brilliant for Atleti this term.
The 25-year-old netted 29 goals in 54 games across all competitions, and could be a key component in the Madrid-based outfit going deep into this tournament.
In addition, Alvarez will be used to the humidity in the USA, and I fancy him to score anytime on Sunday.
