The second semi-final of the Coupe de France sees record 14-time winners Paris Saint-Germain host Rennes at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Runaway Ligue 1 leaders PSG last suffered defeat in any competition in a 2-1 Champions League loss to AC Milan in November - an incredible 25-game run.

Rennes have avoided defeat in both of their last two visits to the Parc des Princes and will be hoping to make life difficult for Luis Enrique’s side

PSG vs Rennes Prediction

  • PSG to win and BTTS @ 9/5
  • Kylian Mbappe to score first @ 11/5

Team News

PSG are set to be without a number of first-team players for this contest, with central defenders Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe expected to miss out due to ankle injuries.

Layvin Kurzawa and Bradley Barcola are also unlikely to feature because of hamstring and back problems respectively.

Rennes have a fully fit squad for this cup clash and a strong startling line-up is expected, with Martin Terrier and Benjamin Bourigeaud likely to be in from the off.

Match Odds

PSG are overwhelming favourites to secure their place in the Coupe de France final at 4/11 - or a 73.3% chance - whereas the visitors are 11/2 to claim the shock win in Paris.

A draw in normal time is priced at 7/2, while the game to finish goalless within 90 minutes can be backed at 14/1.

PSG to win and BTTS @ 9/5

Luis Enrique’s side remain in the Champions League and look certain to lift the Ligue 1 title for the 10th time in 12 years, after opening up a 12-point gap on second-placed Brest.

A domestic double or even a continental treble are both still on the cards for PSG and they will feel confident in being able to overcome a Rennes side that have won just one of their last five games in the league.

Les Rouge et Noirs have also tasted success just once in their last five away fixtures in all competition, highlighting their issues on the road.

While a victory may be too steep a challenge for Julien Stephan’s side, they should be able to test an injury-plagued PSG defence, with three of their last four away trips seeing both sides find the back of the net.

Kylian Mbappe to score first @ 11/5

With 24 goals in Ligue 1 this season, PSG captain Kylian Mbappe will undoubtedly be the major goal threat for Les Parisiens in what may be his final Coupe de France campaign, with a rumoured summer move to Real Madrid gaining more and more traction.

The French striker has five goals across his last four club appearances, including a hat-trick in a 6-2 demolition of Montpellier prior to the international break.

Mbappe opened the scoring in the previous round against Nice, and he looks a good price to break the deadlock once again.
