Wolves vs Fulham Prediction: Cottagers to make more happy Molineux memories

Back-to-back defeats have hindered Fulham’s European charge, but the Cottagers can get back on track this Sunday (15:00 BST, Sky Sports F1) with a win over bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have lost four of their last five games (D1).
Read on for my Wolves vs Fulham predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of their weekend meeting at Molineux.

Team News
Wolves have no new injury concerns, according to head coach Rob Edwards, with long-term absentees Leon Chiwome, Enso Gonzalez (both knee) and Sam Johnstone (unspecified) the Old Gold's only confirmed absentees.
Edwards said on Friday: “[Jose] Sa trained fully today, [Ladislav] Krejci trained fully today as well, so we’re pretty much at full tilt. Hugo [Bueno] trained today as well, it was the first time he’s trained this week, but he trained the full session.
“There are one or two people who have got a couple of knocks, but that’s normal at this stage of the season, but in the main, we’ve got a pretty much clean bill of health."
As for Fulham, Alex Iwobi is back in contention to feature after missing the Cottagers' last three games with a hamstring injury.
Raul Jimenez should return, too, after missing his side's 1-0 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth last Saturday, but Joachim Andersen, who was sent off against the Cherries, and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring), who hasn't played this month, won't be available this weekend.
Boss Marco Silva said: “Joachim Andersen is going to be out as you know, and Sessegnon is still out. All the other players, they are going to be available for the game.”
Wolves vs Fulham Predicted Lineups
- Wolves: Sa; Mosquera, S. Bueno, Krejci; R. Gomes, Andre, J. Gomes, H. Bueno; Mane, Bellegarde, Armstrong
- Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Lukic, Cairney; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Chukwueze; Muniz
Wolves are 11/4 underdogs, implying a 26.7% probability of success, with Fulham 9/10, or a 52.6% chance, and the draw offered at 3/1.
Wolves vs Fulham Stats
- WOL have lost four of their last five games (D1)
- FUL won November's reverse fixture 3-0
- J. Gomes (WOL) has recorded at least one shot in his last five home league matches
- The Brazilian shot four times in last season's corresponding meeting
Match Result - Fulham @ 9/10
Fulham may have suffered back-to-back defeats, but those losses came away to Premier League leaders Arsenal (3-0) and at home to UEFA Champions League-chasing Bournemouth (0-1).
The Cottagers should be confident of returning to winning ways against bottom-of-the-table Wolves, who haven't won since 3 March, when they beat Liverpool 2-1, and have lost four of their last five games, failing to score in all four defeats.
Fulham won last season's corresponding fixture 2-1 in February 2025, and at Craven Cottage last November, they dismantled the Old Gold 3-0.
While European football is likely out of reach for Fulham now, Silva will be keen to see his side finish as high as possible, certainly in the top 10, so there should be no shortage of motivation for the visitors, while Wolves look to have already checked out ahead of a long Championship campaign in 2026/27.

Player to Have 2 or More Shots - Joao Gomes (WOL) @ 2/1
Sunday's game is likely to be Joao Gomes' final one in a Wolves shirt at Molineux, so he'll be keen to leave on good terms.
The 25-year-old has spent the last four seasons with the Old Gold, but with the club bound for the Championship, he's set for a summer move, with Atletico Madrid strongly linked.
Gomes has never been a prolific goalscorer, netting just seven times in the Premier League since joining Wolves at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign, but his only goal of the current season was in a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Molineux on 27 February.
The Brazilian shot three times in that win, and he's now recorded at least one shot in his last five home league outings.
Gomes tried his luck four times in last season's corresponding fixture with Fulham, and on his farewell appearance at Molineux this Sunday, I can see him letting fly at least twice in search of a final goal for Wolves.
