West Ham vs Sunderland Stats-Based Bet Builder Tips: 50/1 for goals and a card

Can West Ham United stay up this season? A lot will rest on their home form. They host Sunderland on Saturday (12:30 GMT, TNT Sports 1), having grabbed a valuable away win at Tottenham Hotspur last time out.
Below you can find my West Ham vs Sunderland Stats-Based Bet Builder Tips as we search for a winner.

Draw
I can’t separate these two teams right now, even though over the course of the season Sunderland have been by far the better team. West Ham looked dead and buried and it seemed as though Nuno Espirito Santo was going to be sacked by two Premier League teams in the same season, but there’s certainly been some improvement over the last two games.
They beat QPR 2-1 in the FA Cup and then Callum Wilson nicked a winner at Spurs in a much-improved performance. Do I think they can save their season? Probably not. Can they at least have an uptick in form? Sure. Sunderland have been exceptional at home this term, but on the road their record reads W2, D4, L5.
I like the look of another draw on this occasion.
West Ham vs Sunderland Stats
- West Ham have won their last two games 2-1
- Brian Brobbey has two goals in his last three games
- Trai Hume has been booked in his last two matches
Callum Wilson to score
Just a couple of weeks ago it looked as though the relationship between Nuno and Callum Wilson had broken down completely. He was reportedly looking to cancel his contract as a result. However, there has been a complete u-turn on this front and I’d argue he is still West Ham’s best number nine.
It seems his manager might just agree with me now as in his pre-match press conference he said: "Callum gave us the winning goal in a really important match, that was beautiful to see. Callum is an option, and we know what he gives us. He's working, and he's an important player."
I fancy him to get another goal in this one - even if he isn’t guaranteed to start the game.
Brian Brobbey to score
Brian Brobbey has made the number nine position his own at Sunderland this season and his physicality is going to be crucial in this away game. The numbers on the whole don’t look that promising as he has only scored four Premier League goals in 17 - but if you zoom in, he’s now scored two in his last three.
Given West Ham have conceded 44 goals in 22 league games, Sunderland should get plenty of chances and I’m happy to back Brobbey to find the net in an entertaining encounter.
Trai Hume to be carded
Trai Hume is an uber-aggresive full-back and I want to back him to get a card in this one. He’s Sunderland's most-booked player this season with six yellows - two coming in the last couple of Premier League matches.
Likely to be up against Crysencio Summerville, I can see him making a couple of fouls here and getting his name in the referee's notebook. This Bet Builder pays 50/1.
