West Ham vs Burnley Prediction: Hammers can build on Magpies win

West Ham United received a huge boost with a 3-1 win over Newcastle United last Sunday, and they will be looking to claim three more points with another home success against Burnley this Saturday (15:00 GMT).
Scott Parker’s Clarets have recently claimed victories against Leeds United and Wolves, but need to pick themselves up after a 2-0 loss to leaders Arsenal last weekend. Below are my West Ham vs Burnley predictions for this meeting at London Stadium.
West Ham vs Burnley Betting Tips
- West Ham to win @ 1/1
- Bet Builder - Over 1.5 West Ham goals, Jarrod Bowen to score at any time & Lucas Paqueta to be booked @ 13/2

Team News
The Hammers could be unchanged from the team who earned a precious victory at home to Newcastle last time out, as Konstantinos Mavropanos, Niclas Fullkrug, George Earthy and Oliver Scarles remain sidelined.
The visiting Clarets have both Zeki Amdouni and Connor Robers sidelined by serious knee injury, while Jordan Beyer has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring problem
West Ham vs Burnley Predicted Lineups
- West Ham: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Diouf; Potts, Lucas Paqueta, Fernandes; Bowen, Wilson, Summerville
- Burnley: Dubravka; Walker, Laurent, Tuanzebe, Esteve, Hartman; Tchaouna, Cullen, Florentino, Anthony; Flemming
West Ham are 1/1 to win their third Premier League match of the season, while Burnley are 3/1 to take all three points. The draw is available at 5/2.
Over and under 2.5 goals are both 10/11, while both teams to score is a 4/5 chance.
Irons forwards Jarrod Bowen and Callum Wilson are 5/1 favourites to score the first goal at London Stadium.
West Ham vs Burnley Stats
- WHU won 3-1 last Sunday
- BUR have lost four of their five PL away games this season
- Paqueta (WHU) has been booked four times this term
West Ham to win @ 1/1
There has been a difficult atmosphere at many West Ham home matches this season, but that was eased by last week’s 3-1 over Newcastle will have encouraged Nuno Espirito Santo’s side that they can fight their way out of Premier League trouble.
Burnley are making a strong fist of staying up themselves after gaining promotion in May, and, after wins over Leeds and Wolves, this is the sort of fixture they can feel they can win.
However, they afforded their opponents plenty of chances in those two matches, and the galvanised Hammers may be able to capitalise and boost their own chances of climbing away from the bottom.

Bet Builder - Over 1.5 West Ham goals, Jarrod Bowen to score at any time & Lucas Paqueta to be booked @ 13/2
With Burnley conceding an expected-goal (xG) figure of two or more in four of their last five Premier League games, there looks to be a strong chance that West Ham can find the net at least twice in Saturday’s clash.
Bowen remains the home side’s chief goal threat even though he has scored just three times in the league this term, so he represents some anytime-goalscorer value.
Punters should also not be surprised if midfielder Lucas Paqueta’s name ends up in the referee’s notebook.
The Brazilian has been yellow-carded four times this term, including in both his two most recent appearances against Leeds and Newcastle.
