Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea Prediction: Goals and cards?

London will be sizzling as November begins on Saturday, with Tottenham Hotspur hosting Chelsea in the late afternoon kick-off (17:30, Sky Sports Main Event).
Spurs are up to third in the Premier League having beaten Everton last time out, so can they continue their positive form? Below you can find my Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea predictions as we look to find a winner.

Team News
Tottenham’s injury crisis is quite remarkable. The definite absentees are Yves Bissouma (ankle), Kota Takai (ankle), Dominic Solanke (ankle), Radu Dragusin (knee), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), James Maddison (knee) and Ben Davies (thigh) while Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert are all doubts.
On a positive note, Guglielmo Vicario and Micky Van de Ven should return after missing the Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle United, which is great news for Thomas Frank and should help his back line. Pedro Porro and Djed Spence should play at full-back, with Randal Kolo Muani or Richarlison set to play up front.
Liam Delap is suspended for this game having been sent off in the midweek win over Wolves, and so he will join Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile and Dario Essugo on the sidelines. Changes may be afoot from their last Premier League game, which ended in a home defeat to Sunderland.
Joao Pedro and Marc Guiu both played in that one but I’d expect one of them to drop out in favour of Alejandro Garnacho, in a slight reshuffle in the final third. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez should play in midfield together as Chelsea look to secure an important win.
Tottenham vs Chelsea Predicted Lineups
- Tottenham - Vicario; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Bentancur, Palhinha; Kudus, Bergvall, Simons; Kolo Muani
- Chelsea - Sanchez; James, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Neto, Santos, Garnacho; Joao Pedro
Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea Odds
Tottenham are priced at 7/4 to win this game, giving them an implied win probability of 36%. Chelsea are 8/5 to find the three points and a draw is 5/2, showing just how evenly-contested the odds makers believe this game will be.
Over 2.5 goals is 8/11, BTTS is 4/7 and Richarlison is the favourite to score first at 5/1.
Tottenham vs Chelsea Stats
- Seven of Chelsea's nine Premier League outings have seen three goals or more
- Chelsea sit rock-bottom of the Premier League’s Fair Play table with 17 yellows and three red cards
Over 2.5 goals @ 8/11
It might be slightly boring, but I think this game will contain a lot of goals. Chelsea currently sit second in the over 2.5 goals table as seven of their nine Premier League outings have seen three goals or more, while Spurs are third in that same table having had over 2.5 goals in six of their nine league fixtures.
Given Chelsea also had a midweek 4-3 win in the Carabao Cup against Wolves, and both teams have scored in four of their last five in all competitions. I can’t trust either of these defences with any great certainty, so I will start by backing over 2.5 goals in this London derby.

Chelsea to receive a red card @ 5/1
Chelsea seemingly have a real issue with discipline this season and I’m keen to take a punt on that to continue in this London derby that could be played with fierce intensity. Enzo Maresca was furious with Delap after his red card against Wolves, but it’s been a serious problem for his team this term.
Chelsea sit rock-bottom of the Premier League’s Fair Play table with 17 yellows and three red cards in total so far, with no other side having more than one sending off. They’ve actually now had four red cards in their last nine games in all competitions which is a remarkable record and means that the 5/1 on another red here is good value in my eyes.
