Premier League Stats & Best Bets for Week 26

  • Chelsea vs Leeds United
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Leeds have lost just two of their last 12 Premier League matches, while eight of Chelsea's last ten games have seen three goals or more.

Best bet: Leeds will come into this one in a confident mood, having dismantled Nottingham Forest on Friday, while memories of their 3-1 win over Tuesday's opponents in December remain fresh in the memory. Chelsea have had a good start to life under Liam Rosenior but they were fortunate to beat West Ham in their last match at Stamford Bridge and we'll back Daniel Farke's troops to avoid defeat here. Both teams have been providing plenty of entertainment in recent weeks so we'll add Over 2.5 Goals to give the price a boost.

Chelsea vs Leeds United - Double Chance & Over/Under +2.5

Draw or Leeds United and Over 2.5 Goals

  • Everton vs Bournemouth
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Each of the last four Premier League meetings between Everton and Bournemouth has been 0-0 at half-time, with each of the last 11 goals in this fixture coming in the second half.

Best bet: More late drama for Everton at the weekend as they followed up a 97th minute equaliser at Brighton with two goals in the 75th and 83rd minute to beat Fulham. There have been injury time goals in both of Bournemouth's last two away games, at Brighton and Wolves, and you fancy both these sides won't be settling for a point late on if the game is level. Happy to take the odds-against price on more goals in the second half here.

Everton vs AFC Bournemouth - Highest Scoring Half

2nd Half

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Tottenham vs Newcastle United
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: There have been three or more goals in 11 of the last 12 meetings between the two sides in the Premier League, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in four of Tottenham's last five matches and six of Newcastle's last nine away games.

Best bet: Hard to trust either side to win this one, with Tottenham on an appalling run of two wins in 16 matches in the Premier League and Newcastle poor travellers, winning just two of their last 15 on the road. But we can expect goals given the defensive woes of both outfits. Over 3.5 Goals is a live runner here at 7/4 but the Betfred price boost of 3+ goals, 10+ corners and 2+ cards each jumped out at 5/1. The Magpies have the highest average corners per game in the league at 11.92, with Spurs not far behind at 9.96, while Thomas Frank's men are the most undisciplined outfit in the league with 61 yellows and three reds.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle United - Price Boosts

3+ Goals, 10+ Corners & Both Teams 2+ Cards

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • West Ham vs Manchester United
  • Tuesday, 20:15
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Six of Manchester United's 12 Premier League away games this season have seen four or more goals, while the Red Devils have scored at least twice in all of Michael Carrick's matches in charge.

Best bet: The Michael Carrick era at Old Trafford continues to sparkle, with Manchester United looking for their straight fifth win under the interim boss on Tuesday night. The former England midfielder has given his forward players licence to attack and it's paying off in spades. West Ham are also in excellent form, winning three of their last four, with the only defeat the unfortunate 3-2 at Chelsea so both sides should be on the front foot here. We'll back over 3.5 Goals and both teams to score - West Ham have scored at least twice in five of their last seven.

West Ham vs Manchester United - Both Teams To Score and Total Goals Over/Under +3.5

Yes and Over 3.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Aston Villa vs Brighton
  • Wednesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Aston Villa have won seven of their last nine Premier League games against Brighton (D1 L1) and are looking to complete the double over them for the third time after 2022/23 and 2023/24.

Best bet: Aston Villa's unlikely title charge has turned into a focus on getting a Champions League spot after a run of only one win in five, including a shock home defeat to 10-man Brentford. But they'll fancy their chances of getting back on track against a Brighton side who were booed off the pitch after losing at home to rivals Crystal Palace and haven't won in five. We'll back Villa to edge a tight one here - they've only scored three and conceded three in that run of five matches.

Aston Villa vs Brighton & Hove Albion - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 3.5

Aston Villa Win & Under 3.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Crystal Palace vs Burnley
  • Wednesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Crystal Palace have won their last three Premier League games against Burnley by an aggregate score of 6-0, while the Clarets have won just three of their last 45 away top flight matches that haven't been against newly promoted sides.

Best bet: Unlikely to be many neutrals tuning in for this one with both sides only averaging just over a goal a game but Palace should have enough in the tank to take the three points after securing a huge win at rivals Brighton at the weekend. January signings Jørgen Strand Larsen and Evann Guessand both hit the ground running for Oliver Glasner's men and we'll back them to edge a low-scoring encounter over a Burnley side who were desperately poor in the six-pointer with West Ham last time out.

Crystal Palace vs Burnley - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 2.5

Crystal Palace Win & Under 2.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Manchester City vs Fulham
  • Wednesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Manchester City have won their last 19 meetings with Fulham in all competitions, the longest winning run one side has had against another in English football history.

Best bet: At 1-0 down at Anfield, there's no question the title race was over but Man City's stirring comeback means they're back in with a fighting chance and they can draw to within three points of Arsenal with a win over favourite opponents' Fulham. Pep Guardiola's men have been less than reliable this season but the Cottagers have lost three of the last four and a home win is the call. With the chaos of the nine-goal thriller at Craven Cottage in mind, we'll add Over 3.5 Goals to take the price to nearly 2/1.

Manchester City vs Fulham - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 3.5

Manchester City Win & Over 3.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Nottingham Forest vs Wolves
  • Wednesday, 19:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Under 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in five of Wolves' last seven matches and each of Nottingham Forest's last three at the City Ground.

Best bet: Wolves are winless in their last 14 Premier League away games, picking up just three points in that time, but Forest still look short here at 7/10 given they are four without a win on home soil. Instead we'll focus our attention on the goals markets, with an attritional game on the cards given the Old Gold have only scored five on the road all season and the hosts have netted just 13 in 12 at the City Ground. The 5/6 on offer for Under 2.5 Goals is backable but we'll boost it to 3/1 by adding a card for Yerson Mosquera; the Wolves defender has been booked nine times in 16 matches this season, including the reverse fixture.

Bet: Back Under 2.5 Goals and Yerson Mosquera to be shown a card at 3/1

You can make this bet on the Bet Builder tab on our Nottingham Forest vs Wolves Odds page on the Betfred Betting Market.

  • Sunderland vs Liverpool
  • Wednesday, 20:15
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Sunderland are unbeaten in all 12 of their Premier League home games this season, while Liverpool have won just two of their last 10 on the road, losing five.

Best bet: It remains to be seen just how much emotional energy Liverpool used up in that mad encounter against Man City but we do know they will be further weakened at the back with the suspension of Dominik Szoboszlai. Sunderland had a disappointing weekend themselves but there's no shame in losing at Arsenal and they will be desperate to keep their fantastic home run going under the lights on Wednesday. I was surprised to see the Sunderland/Draw Double Chance at bigger than evens, but with Arne Slot forced to play a makeshift back four we'll take a swing at the home win at a chunky 4/1.

Sunderland vs Liverpool - Match Result

  • Brentford vs Arsenal
  • Thursday, 20:00
  • Live on TNT Sport

Key stat: Arsenal have lost just one of their last 23 Premier League London derbies, while Brentford have won just one of their last 11 home all Capital encounters.

Best bet: If any Arsenal fans were worried about a wobble after the home defeat by Manchester United, Mikel Arteta's men would surely have eased their fears with a run of four straight wins in all competitions including wins to nil over Chelsea, Leeds and Sunderland. Brentford will be buzzing after two superb away wins on the bounce, at Villa and Newcastle, but they lost to Nottingham Forest last time out at the G-Tech and this one just has the smell of a 'professional' Gunners victory.

Brentford vs Arsenal - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 3.5

Arsenal Win & Under 3.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.
