Premier league predictions

It wasn't a terrible week of Premier League predictions for me as I correctly guessed two scorelines, while Simon had one for himself. League leader Nick was left wanting but he still has a comfortable lead at the top.

Check out our latest predictions for Gameweek 25 below.

Leeds 2-2 Forest @ 14/1

Leeds United and Nottingham Forest both sit on 26 points, which is currently six points clear of the relegation zone. With West Ham United showing signs of life in recent weeks, both of these teams could do with some extra breathing space.

They meet at Elland Road and Leeds will look to respond to their 4-0 thrashing against Arsenal here last weekend. Forest could only draw at home to struggling Crystal Palace, so this will arguably be a tougher test for the Tricky Trees.

I'm going for a high-scoring draw.

Nick: 1-2

Simon: 1-1

Man United 3-1 Spurs @ 11/1

Manchester United have won all three of their fixtures since Michael Carrick took charge and up next for them is a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Spurs did well to salvage a point at home to Manchester City last weekend but I think they will fall to a defeat here against a revitalised Red Devils side.

Nick: 2-2

Simon: 2-1

Premier League Odds

Bournemouth 2-1 Villa @ 17/2

AFC Bournemouth were clinical to record a 2-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers last week and the Cherries have now won two games on the bounce. They welcome Aston Villa to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, with the Villans suffering a second successive home defeat last time out, which came against Brentford.

If Unai Emery's side want to remain in the title conversation, they need to bounce back with three points. However, I think the Cherries have enough quality to secure another win on home turf.

Nick: 2-2

Simon: 1-2

Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland @ 12/1

Arsenal ran rampant at Leeds last week and thanks to City and Villa dropping points, they are six points clear at the top of the table. They entertain Sunderland at the Emirates this weekend, with the Black Cats looking to build on Monday's 3-0 triumph against Burnley on Wearside.

They held Arsenal to a draw in the north east earlier in the season but I think they will fall short on this away trip.

Nick: 2-1

Simon: 3-0

Burnley 1-2 West Ham @ 15/2

Burnley and West Ham meet at Turf Moor and the Clarets will look to bounce back from their defeat at Sunderland. West Ham were left stunned as they saw their two-goal lead overturned at Chelsea last time out, ending their two-game winning streak.

The Irons have shown a lot of positives in recent weeks and I fancy them to pick up a valuable three points against Burnley.

Nick: 1-2

Simon: 1-1

Fulham 2-1 Everton @ 8/1

Consistency has been an issue for Fulham all season but they do have a strong home record. The Cottagers have won seven of their 12 outings at Craven Cottage and Everton are the latest team to pay them a visit on Saturday.

The Toffees are unbeaten in four but they have posted three draws in that time. Fulham thought they rescued a point at Man United last week, only for Benjamin Sesko to snatch the victory right at the death.

Marco Silva's side have been playing well and they should be good for a victory here.

Nick: 1-1

Simon: 1-1

Wolves 1-3 Chelsea @ 12/1

Wolves were made to pay for not taking their chances against Bournemouth last week and that now marks back-to-back defeats for the Old Gold. Rob Edwards' side welcome Chelsea to Molineux on Saturday and the Blues will look to build on their comeback victory against West Ham.

Given the depth they have in their squad, the Blues should be able to win this one by a couple of goals.

Nick: 2-2

Simon: 0-2

Chelsea 3-1

Newcastle 2-2 Brentford @ 12/1

Newcastle United are really struggling without Bruno Guimaraes and their 3-1 defeat against Manchester City in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday saw boss Eddie Howe come under a lot of scrutiny from supporters.

His side are winless in their previous three appearances in the Premier League and they host Brentford at St. James' Park on Saturday. The Bees were 1-0 winners at Villa last time out and they were 3-1 winners against Newcastle earlier in the season.

Given the Magpies' struggles at the moment, I think Brentford can come away with a result here.

Nick: 2-1

Simon: 2-1

Brighton 2-1 Palace @ 15/2

Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace renew their rivalry on Sunday at the Amex Stadium. Palace are nine games without a win in the top flight, while it is a run of four fixtures for the home side.

The Seagulls have been massively inconsistent this term but this is their best opportunity to claim the bragging rights. They played out a 0-0 at Selhurst Park back in November so this is likely going to be another close encounter, but I think Brighton should edge this clash.

Nick: 2-1

Simon: 2-1

Football Odds

Liverpool 2-1 Man City @ 8/1

After a flat second-half performance that saw them lose their two-goal lead at Tottenham, Man City now head to Anfield to take on Liverpool. The Reds were clinical in their 4-1 victory against Newcastle here last weekend and I think they can build on that against a City side who have managed just one win from their past six outings in the league.

Nick: 3-1
