Nottingham Forest host Manchester United at the City Ground on Saturday (15:00 kick-off) still searching for a second Premier League win of the season. Now onto a third manager for the campaign after dismissing Nuno Espirito Santo before Ange Postecoglou lasted just eight games, fans will be hoping Sean Dyche can turn things around.

As for Manchester United, Ruben Amorim is enjoying perhaps his best run in charge and will celebrate a year in charge on Saturday. It’s been a tumultuous 12 months for the former Portugal international as the Red Devils could not find any consistency but have now won five games in seven. Below you can find my Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United predictions.

Team News

Nottingham Forest will be without Oleksandr Zinchenko who went off in the Europa League win over Porto and missed last week’s loss at Bournemouth.

Centre forward Chris Wood is also expected to be absent while Ola Aina and Dilane Bakwa have also been sidelined.

Football Odds

Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez is nearing a return from a knee injury but Saturday’s game will likely come too soon for the Argentine.

It is hoped Harry Maguire will be fit to feature at the City Ground after recovering from a knock picked up in training.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United Odds

Manchester United are the favourites heading into the game and are priced at 11/10 to take all three points. A Nottingham Forest win can be backed at 5/2 while a draw is 13/5.

Both teams to score is priced at 8/13 while Forest striker Igor Jesus is 13/2 to open the scoring. United frontman Matheus Cunha is priced at 2/1 to net any time.

Draw @ 13/5

The first thing Dyche will have got to work on when arriving at the Nottingham Forest training ground is to make the team hard to beat.

Having kept a clean sheet at the City Ground in the Europa League over Porto, Forest got off to a great start but stuttered down at Bournemouth, losing 2-0 against the Cherries after conceding two first-half goals.

With that in mind, Dyche will look to set his team up to be solid and compact in order to frustrate United.

Amorim has guided his team to five victories since the end of August and the run included a memorable victory over rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

However, despite the upturn in fortunes, it doesn’t feel like the Red Devils have totally clicked yet and so there will be more bumps in the road as they aim for consistency.

Being held to a draw away at Forest would be far from a disaster and in fact another positive step towards making progress as Amorim looks to move his team, and the club, away from being the figure of fun they became amid a constant series of missteps previously.

Bryan Mbeumo to score anytime @ 21/10

Bryan Mbeumo scored 20 goals for Brentford last season and that was one of the many reasons Manchester United pushed to sign the Cameroon international this summer.

The forward is a talismanic figure, with his direct running and desire to push forward making him a fan favourite. Mbeumo has scored three goals in his last two appearances for United and is 21/10 to find the net again at the City Ground.

The former Bees star opened the scoring at Anfield two weeks ago to set United up for a famous triumph before firing a crucial match-winning brace in the 4-2 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford.

It appears Mbeumo is now settling into life as a Red Devil and finding his rhythm, he will no doubt score more and more goals for Amorim’s side.
