Following their seventh home Premier League defeat of the season, Tottenham Hotspur have sacked Thomas Frank with the side 16th in the table and just five points clear of the relegation zone. The writing has been on the wall for some time but the club's hierarchy have finally had enough and decided a change is necessary.

Below I take a look at who could potentially replace the Dane in this part of North London, using Betfred's next Spurs manager odds.

John Heitinga @ 5/6

John Heitinga was not initially at the top of this list, but this indicates just how quickly the market fluctuates. The former Everton and Fulham defender is thought to be leading the way to succeed Frank, having joined Tottenham's coaching staff in January.

This came after he was sacked by Ajax after first managing the Dutch giants on an interim basis. If this is the role Spurs are looking at for the next few months, the job could be his if he were to have a positive impact.

Roberto De Zerbi @ 5/4

Roberto De Zerbi, the former Brighton & Hove Albion boss, leads the way in the betting to be the new Tottenham boss. Things may just have lined up perfectly as he himself has just became a free agent after leaving French club Marseille on Tuesday.

In his two seasons in charge of the Seagulls, his style of play was applauded and he led them to their highest-ever finish in English football (sixth) and their maiden European campaign.

Supporters were tired of the football under Frank. De Zerbi's style of play is capable of getting them off their seats.

Mauricio Pochettino @ 11/2

Some will say that a lot of Spurs fans have been unable to move on since Mauricio Pochettino departed the club in 2019. He gave them one of the most exciting brands of football that they have seen in the modern era and because there was no silverware to go with it, there may be a sense of unfinished business on both sides.

The Argentine is currently in charge of the USA men's national team, and with a home Fifa World Cup just round the corner, it is hard to see him walking away from the Stars and Stripes at this late stage. Maybe one to address in the summer if Tottenham go with an interim for the rest of the season.

Xavi @ 10/1

Spanish icon Xavi has been out of work for almost two years after leaving Barcelona. During his time in charge of the Catalonian giants, he won a La Liga title (2022/23) - their first in four years - and the Supercopa de Espana (2023).

He had an impressive 63% win rate during his time in Spain and his football was considered pleasing on the eye. Something that was often overlooked was that his team were defensively strong, shipping just 20 goals during their title-winning campaign.

Next Spurs Manager Odds

Robbie Keane @ 10/1

A left-field choice maybe former striker Robbie Keane, who had two spells at Tottenham as a player between 2002-08 and 2009-11. He is currently in charge of Hungarian side Ferencvaros, with whom he won the Fizz Liga title with in 2024/25.

The Irishman has also led his side to the Uefa Europa League play-offs for the second season running. Keane is doing a fine job over in Hungary, but it may be considered too big a leap to move to Spurs at this point in his managerial career.

Oliver Glasner @ 12/1

We know that Oliver Glasner is leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the season, and we know that he is a more than capable coach at this level. The Austrian led the Eagles to FA Cup glory last season against Manchester City - their first-ever major title - while he also led Eintracht Frankfurt to the Europa League title in 2021/22.

He has shown his mettle in the Premier League, and given that he is is in the final months of his contract at Selhurst Park, I can't imagine the compensation package costing too much.

Marco Silva @ 14/1

Another Premier League boss whose future is unclear is Marco Silva at Fulham. The Portuguese coach is currently set to depart Craven Cottage in the summer as contract negotiations have rambled on for months.

Silva has been in the role for almost five years and has led the Cottagers from the Championship to comfortable mid-table in the top flight. He's another proven coach who might be looking for the next step in his career.

Xabi Alonso @ 14/1

After what was supposed to be a triumphant return to Real Madrid as their legend turned manager, Xabi Alonso departed Los Blancos after just seven months in charge last month due to a breakdown in relations inside the dressing room.

The Spaniard had built up his reputation at Bayer Leverkusen, whom he led to a domestic double in 2023/24. He almost claimed a historic treble but Die Werkself were beaten in the Europa League final by Atalanta.

If he is seeking a quick return to the dugout, a long-term project at Spurs could be eye-catching, even if there is a lot of work to be done on the pitch.
