Liverpool left-back Milos Kerkez has committed a couple of fouls in two of his nine Premier League appearances this season, and in his only Uefa Champions League start, the 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray in Istanbul on September 30.

The 21-year-old faced Aston Villa twice last season and was whistled once in each game for upending an opponent.

Villa captain John McGinn lined up on the right-hand side of midfield in last Sunday's 1-0 victory over Manchester City, and the Scotland international was fouled four times. Three of those offences were committed by City's left-back, Josko Gvardiol, who also handballed to rack up four fouls in total.

There's also the possibility that Evann Guessand starts on the right-hand side of Villa's midfield/attack at Anfield; the Ivory Coast international was only brought on in the 74th minute last weekend, but won two fouls, with Phil Foden going into the book for one offence against him.

Aston Villa Over 3.5 Total Shots On Target

Liverpool conceded eight shots on target in their 3-2 defeat at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium last Saturday, with Manchester United managing four in a 2-1 win at Anfield the week prior.

Chelsea registered four in their 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge earlier in the month, and the weekend before that, Crystal Palace recorded seven in their 2-1 triumph at Selhurst Park.

The Reds, clearly, are vulnerable right now.

Villa registered two shots on target in a 2-0 defeat at Anfield last season, and that was against a Liverpool side in terrific form. Unai Emery's side will be confident of doubling that number on Saturday against a confidence-shorn side.

Now, let's back a couple of goalscorers.

First up, I've got Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who ended a four-game barren run in the Premier League in style at Brentford, scoring a sensational goal that has been shortlisted for October's Goal of the Month.

The Egyptian ace has a terrific goalscoring record against Villa, netting nine times in 13 appearances, including one home and away last season.

Salah has scored against Villa at Anfield in four of the last five seasons, and after last weekend's strike, should be confident of keeping up his fine record against the Villans.
