Leeds vs Manchester City Prediction: Citizens to grind out a win

Manchester City are hunting down Arsenal in the Premier League title race. The Citizens visit Elland Road to face Leeds United on Saturday (17:30 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event), looking to close the gap on the league leaders to two points, while also having a game in hand.
Leeds have only lost one of their last seven league matches on home turf, however, so this will be a tricky test for the visitors. Below you will find my Leeds vs Manchester City predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Noah Okafor is Leeds' only notable absentee coming into the weekend as he nurses a hamstring issue.
Gabriel Gudmundsson will need to be assessed after his withdrawal at half-time in last week's draw at Aston Villa with illness.
A five-man defence is once again expected from Daniel Farke to try and shut out the defending champions array of attacking talents.
Manchester City duo Josko Gvardiol (tibial fracture) and Mateo Kovacic (ankle/heel) are still sidelined, while there is a chance Jeremy Doku (calf) may feature at the weekend.
Nico O'Reilly is set to continue in midfield, where he has contributed three goals in his last two league appearances.
Leeds vs Manchester City Predicted Lineups
- Leeds: Darlow; Justin, Rodon, Struijk; Bogle, Ampadu, Gruev, Gudmundsson; Stach, Aaronson; Calvert-Lewin
- Manchester City: Donnarumma; Nunes, Dias, Guehi, Ait-Nouri; Rodri, O'Reilly; Bernardo, Foden; Semenyo, Haaland
Leeds have won four of their past seven home games in the Premier League and they are 4/1 to dent City's title hopes.
The Whites have drawn their past two league fixtures and the stalemate here is priced at 16/5.
City are 8/13 to claim a fourth consecutive victory in the top flight.
O'Reilly is in scoring form for the visitors and he is 16/5 to strike anytime on Saturday.
Leeds vs Manchester City Stats

- Both teams were on the scoresheet when they met at the Etihad
- Bernardo Silva has been booked in the last 3 PL games
Match Result & Both Teams To Score - Manchester City & Yes @ 2/1
Man City look like they are in their relentless end-of-season mode, which we have seen plenty of times over the years. It usually finishes with them hoisting the Premier League title.
Arsenal's dropped points at Wolves last week has opened a door for the Citizens, who are currently five points behind the Gunners and also boast a game in hand. They are looking to extend their winning streak to four matches on Saturday and I think their current form suggests they can dig deep for a valuable three points in Yorkshire.
Leeds have been strong at home in recent months but I think the individual quality of City, particularly at this time of year, will end up being the difference. The Whites can certainly ask questions of the visitors and by no means am I expecting this to be a comfortable win for City.
I think BTTS - Yes is worth adding to the selection because it has landed in each of the hosts' previous three outings in the league, while both teams were on the scoresheet when they met at the Etihad back in November.

Player To Receive A Card - Bernardo Silva @ 11/4
Age catches up with us all. It's a fact of life. Bernardo Silva is still showing his value to City at 31 years of age, but of course he's not as quick as he once was. For this reason, we are seeing a lot more reckless challenges from the Portugal international.
The midfielder has picked up seven yellow cards in the Premier League this term, with three of them coming in the last three matches. He needs to be mindful as three more cards would trigger a two-game suspension, which is not ideal for City's title hopes at this stage of the season.
However, given Leeds' good form at home, I am liking his 11/4 (implied probability of 26.7%) price to go into the book on Saturday.
