Everton vs Burnley Prediction: Toffees to get back on track at home

Everton picked up an impressive 3-2 victory at Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday. They return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday as they welcome strugglers Burnley (19:30 GMT, TNT Sports 3).
The Clarets were unable to complete a comeback in the weekend's thriller against Brentford, which means they have now gone 19 matches without a win. My Everton vs Burnley predictions can be found below, featuring the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Everton are having to cope without Jack Grealish, who has sustained a season-ending foot injury. The Toffees will also miss Charly Alcaraz here owing to an issue he picked up in training. The midfielder is set for three to four weeks on the sidelines.
David Moyes has a decision to make at the top end of the pitch. Beto came in to start at Newcastle instead of Thierno Barry but both strikers ended up scoring in the game. Not the worst dilemma for a manager to have.
Burnley's Josh Cullen, Jordan Beyer and Zeki Amdouni are still plagued by knee problems.
Connor Roberts, Mike Tresor, Armando Broja (all knocks) and Axel Tuanzebe (Achilles) are also confined to the medical bay.
Zian Flemming, Jaidon Anthony and Hannibal Mejbri have been delivering in the final third over the past few weeks, and all three are expected to start on Tuesday.
Everton vs Burnley Predicted Lineups
- Everton: Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; McNeil, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Barry
- Burnley: Dubravka; Humphreys, Worrall, Esteve, Pires; Ugochukwu, Ward-Prowse; Hannibal, Foster, Anthony; Flemming
Everton are 3/5 to inflict an 18th defeat of the campaign upon Burnley and the Toffees have won three of their last seven outings in this competition.
Six of Burnley's past 12 matches in the Premier League have ended level, and the draw is priced at 11/4. The visitors are 9/2 to collect the three points and make it three consecutive home defeats for their hosts.
There have been goals at both ends in seven of Everton's previous nine fixtures in the top flight and BTTS - Yes is marketed at 10/11.
Everton vs Burnley Stats
- Everton have won 3 of their most recent 7 PL fixtures
- Both teams have scored in 7 of Everton's last 9 PL games
- There have been goals at both ends in each of Burnley's past 3 league matches
- Zian Flemming has scored in his previous 2 appearances in the top flight
Match Result & Both Teams To Score - Everton & Yes @ 5/2
Everton's four most recent victories in the Premier League have all come on the road. You have to go back to December 6 for the last time they won on home soil - a comfortable 3-0 against Nottingham Forest.
The Toffees have lost four of the six matches played here since, so they are in need of giving their home crowd something to cheer about. Burnley present them with an opportunity to end this disappointing spell. The Clarets have won just one of their previous 19 fixtures in the league despite showing a lot of fight recently.
Everton responded to two consecutive home defeats with an impressive victory at Newcastle over the weekend. This should give the Toffees a much-needed boost upon their return to Merseyside.
I think the hosts are capable of getting a long-awaited win at the Hill Dickinson on Tuesday but they will have to work for it. Burnley are not lying down in their battle for survival and both teams have scored in each of the visitors' previous three games in this competition.

Anytime Goalscorer - Zian Flemming @ 12/5
Burnley attacker Flemming had a productive spell between October and December as he bagged five goals for the Clarets across seven league matches. The Dutchman will be looking to provide a similar run to inspire some hope for his side in the final months of the campaign.
The 27-year-old has just scored in back-to-back fixtures against Chelsea and Brentford, so on a personal note he should be feeling confident heading to L3. He's shown how effective he can be in the final third when provided service and he's up against a defence that is still prone to mistakes and counter-attacks.
It may only prove to be a consolation goal but I think Flemming is great value to score at 12/5 (implied probability of 29.4%) in his current mood.
