Burnley have drawn their last two fixtures but they are in desperate need of a victory as they prepare to take on Newcastle in the Premier League at Turf Moor on Tuesday (19:30).

Burnley are looking as depleted as they have been at any stage of the campaign and are especially stretched in the defensive third.

Axel Tuanzebe, Lyle Foster and Hannibal Mejbri are at the Africa Cup of Nations and Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts and Zeki Amdouni are certain to miss out through injury.

Furthermore there are doubts over Maxime Esteve, Joe Worrall and Joe Cullen.

Newcastle were the dominant side for the majority of their narrow loss at Manchester United while failing to make the most of numerous opportunities.

However, Anthony Gordon was a livewire in the second half and may not be far away from finding his best form.
