Burnley vs Crystal Palace Prediction: Eagles to grind out a win

Burnley are in need of turning around their Premier League form when they host Crystal Palace at Turf Moor on Wednesday (19:30 GMT, Sky Sports Tennis). The Clarets are on a run of four consecutive defeats in the top flight.
Palace head here after suffering a surprising home loss against Manchester United on Sunday. Read on for my Burnley vs Crystal Palace predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Burnley boss Scott Parker may consider trying to preserve defender Kyle Walker, who is one yellow card away from a suspension. But with Connor Roberts still carrying a knock, Parker may have no choice but to persist with Walker.
Jordan Beyer and Zeki Amdouni both remain out of action with knee issues.
Hannibal Mejbri was taken off after an hour at Brentford on Saturday so there is a chance that he could be dropped in midweek. Lesley Ugochukwu seems the most likely candidate to replace him if this were to happen.
Palace were dealt another blow in Sunday's defeat as the influential Ismaila Sarr was forced off with an ankle injury, and he was later seen leaving Selhurst Park on crutches. We are yet to know the severity of the injury but it is safe to assume he will not be involved on Wednesday.
Eddie Nketiah, Christantus Uche and Justin Devenny will all be pushing to start in his place.
Borna Sosa (unspecified) and Cheick Doucoure (knee) are also out of action for the Eagles. Daniel Munoz is another player who is one booking away from suspension.
Burnley vs Crystal Palace Predicted Lineups

Burnley vs Crystal Palace Odds
Burnley have won two of their six home games in the Premier League in 2025/26 and they are 18/5 to come out on top here.
Palace have drawn five of their 13 fixtures in the top flight this term and the stalemate can be backed at 11/4. The Eagles are 4/5 (implied probability of 55.6%) to collect the three points, which they have managed in three of their six away trips thus far.
Both teams to score - No has been a winning selection in five of Burnley's six home appearances in the top flight, and it is valued at 10/11 on this occasion.
Burnley vs Crystal Palace Stats
- Crystal Palace won their last away trip to nil (versus Wolves)
- Three of Daniel Munoz's (CRY) four yellow cards have come away from home
Match Result & Over/Under 2.5 Goals - Crystal Palace & Under @ 11/4
Palace were left scratching their heads after losing at home to Man United on Sunday but it shows exactly what can happen when you don't make the most of your chances. Jean-Philippe Mateta was guilty of this despite scoring from the penalty spot.
Oliver Glasner and Mateta's teammates will be relying on him to be more clinical at Turf Moor as the Eagles bid to get back to winning ways instantly. This game is likely going to be a slog as Burnley are scrambling to put points on the board, and Palace's lack of squad depth is sure to lead to some tired legs out on the pitch - so that Sarr injury was far from ideal.
The visitors still have players who can come up with moments of individual brilliance, though, and this might be enough for them against the Clarets. The home team are going to be low on confidence after four successive defeats but they will be up for the fight.
I'm backing Palace to come out on top here but I think there won't be many goals, with all six of their home matches in the league featuring under 2.5 goals. This is what I have added to the selection as a result.

Player To Receive A Card - Daniel Munoz @ 11/4
This victory may come at a cost, though, as my second selection for Munoz to go into the book. The Colombian is integral to the way Palace play down their right flank, and the wing-back already has two goals and two assists in the top flight this term.
This is a role that is very demanding, though, with a lot of ground to cover. Sometimes when he is attacking he is vacating a lot of space that he must sprint back to on a turnover.
Munoz is sometimes in trouble as a result as he is drawn into challenge he is unlikely to make cleanly. The defender has been penalised 17 times in the Premier League and this has resulted in him picking up four yellow cards to date.
Of those four, three have come on the road, so he tends to get in more trouble away from home, and I think this trend spells trouble for him and his team here. A card here will see him miss Sunday's trip to Fulham.
