Burnley vs Arsenal Prediction: Gunners to earn ninth straight win

Arsenal are flying high at the top of the Premier League table and are heavy favourites to win when taking on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday (15:00 kick-off).

The Gunners have been victorious in eight straight matches across all competitions and haven’t lost since suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield back in August.

Mikel Arteta’s side have scored 16 goals in 10 games, thriving with set-pieces and boast the best defence in the Premier League having conceded just three times - that’s four fewer goals than any other side.

Burnley have won two matches on the bounce, claiming a late triumph at Wolves last week, and are five points clear of the drop zone.

However, despite the upturn in fortunes, the Clarets are huge underdogs against Arsenal who should at least maintain their four-point lead at the summit.

Burnley will have Lesley Ugochukwu available for selection after the midfielder went off late into the Clarets’ 3-2 victory over Wolves at Molineux last week.

Scott Parker is still without Connor Roberts, Zeki Amdouni and Jordan Beyer who are each injured ruling them out beyond 2025.

Arsenal are still without captain Martin Odegaard who has been sidelined with a knee injury.

However, in more positive news, Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori were both in the matchday squad against Brighton midweek having gone off against Crystal Palace and will be available to start at Turf Moor. 

William Saliba will be assessed but Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Jesus and now Gabriel Martinelli remain out.

Burnley have only won three games this season and though they have earned six points from six, Arsenal will prove too tough a task to overcome.

At the other end of the pitch, Arsenal have kept six clean sheets in the Premier League this season. 

Burnley have scored five goals across their last two matches but will do well to find the net against the solid Gunners backline, even if they do have home advantage.
