Burnley vs Man City Bet Builder Tips: 20/1 Bet for Wednesday

The feel good factor is certainly around Manchester City right now having beaten their title rivals to put the Premier League Title firmly within their sights. Things are slightly different for Burnley however as they can be relegated tonight. We are on the back of missing a 16/1 sevenfold Bet Builder last night by just one leg with Chelsea only having six shots. Can we go one better tonight with this one?
We’ve put together a 20/1 accumulator for the match, which kicks off at 20:00 live on Sky Sports. Check out our Burnley vs Man City Bet Builder Tips right here on Betfred Insights…

Manchester City Over 7.5 Corners
Burnley Over 3.5 Corners
Firstly, the stats do not say Burnley are going to have four-or-more corners in this match. Against the top teams at home all season long, they’ve struggled to earn more than a couple. Against Liverpool, they got one, when Arsenal came to town, again it was just the one. Chelsea went to Turf Moor and gave up, yep you guessed it, just a single corner. They doubled that number when it was Manchester United to a whopping two.
Yet, in recent games against teams not right up there in the league standings, it has been far better. Eight against Brighton in their last home match, five when they faced Bournemouth, four in the Brentford game and five for the Hammers.
This may be a gut-feel pick and not based on stats but Burnley could well go down tonight, so they’ll surely throw the absolute kitchen sink and at least put Manchester City under a bit of pressure two three times in the match, which in turn could lead to earning more corners than the traders expect.
As for the Manchester City leg, they have been in great form recently on this front. They were awarded eight in the Arsenal clash on Sunday and got 12 at Stamford Bridge and 15 at the Olympic Stadium in their previous two Premier League matches on the road.
Nico O’Reilly 2+ Shots on Target
This leg is an interesting one because a lot depends on whether he reverts to midfield or sticks at left-back, where he has started in their previous two. With Pep Guardiola, you just never know what he’s thinking but the young Englishman has found a taste for popping up in forward positions and wherever he’s played, he’s averaged a Shot on Target per start over the course of his previous 11 appearances.
With Manchester City expected to be on the front foot tonight, chances are going to come and even if O’Reilly starts at left-back, I would expect to see him in the box a fair bit.
Manchester City Over 2.5 Goals
The only aspect of this leg that makes me wince is whether it’ll be a bit after the Lord Mayor’s Show for the Sky Blues. Beating Arsenal has given everyone a lift and could some players think the job is already done?
I doubt it as their manager won’t allow them to think like that, but a slow start is plausible. Still, Burnley have conceded more goals than any other Premier League side and the likes of Sunderland, Brentford, Fulham and Nottingham Forest have all scored three or more against them in the past couple of months. They aren’t exactly offensive juggernauts. With goal difference potentially playing a key role in who wins the title, I see City not settling for a routine 1-0 or 2-0 win, they’ll push on for more.
