The Premier League's Saturday night (20:00 BST, TNT Sports 1) offering this week comes from the Gtech Community Stadium, where Brentford entertain reigning champions Liverpool.

Below are my Brentford vs Liverpool predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, as Bees head coach Keith Andrews takes on Reds counterpart Arne Slot for the first time in his managerial career.

Team News

Brentford will be without Antoni Milambo (ACL) and Paris Maghoma (thigh) for Saturday's game, while Aaron Hickey (knee) is considered doubtful after missing Monday's 2-0 win at West Ham United.

Football Odds

Alisson Becker (groin), Giovanni Leoni (knee) and Jeremie Frimpong (hamstring) have all been ruled out of Liverpool's trip to the Gtech, while Alexander Isak (groin) and Ryan Gravenberch (ankle) are doubts.

Andy Robertson, Florian Wirtz and Curtis Jones will all be hopeful of keeping their starting spots after strong showings in Wednesday's 5-1 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Uefa Champions League. Jones, however, could be replaced by Alexis Mac Allister, who was only a second-half substitute in Germany.

Brentford vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups

  • Brentford: Kelleher; Collins, Van den Berg, Pinnock; Kayode, Henderson, Yarmolyuk, Lewis-Potter; Damsgaard; Schade, Thiago
  • Liverpool: Mamardashvili; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike

Brentford vs Liverpool Odds

Brentford are 18/5, or a 21.7% chance, to claim their second Premier League win of the week on Saturday, while Liverpool are 7/10 (58.8%) to triumph in the top flight for the first time since September 20.

The draw is priced at 16/5, both teams to score at 4/7, and over 3.5 total goals at 11/8.

Brentford vs Liverpool Stats

  • BRE recorded 22 shots in Monday's 2-0 win at West Ham
  • LIV have conceded 10+ shots in 75% (6/8) of PL games this season
  • BRE have scored in 87.5% (7/8) of PL matches this term
  • LIV have conceded in their last eight contests (all comps)

Home Team Total Shots Over/Under +9.5 - Over 9.5 @ 4/5

Brentford are averaging eight shots per game at home in the Premier League this season, only reaching double figures in last month's 3-1 victory over Manchester United, but they have faced a tough fixture list at the Gtech, with Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester City their other three opponents.

Liverpool, of course, would back themselves as a better side than Villa, Chelsea and Man City, but they've looked vulnerable in defence this season, particularly in their last four league games, failing to keep a clean sheet, and losing the last three.

In those three defeats, the Reds have conceded 16, 12 and 12 shots, respectively, to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Manchester United, while Arsenal (11), Newcastle United (10) and AFC Bournemouth (10) have also hit double figures for attempts in 2025/26, meaning an opposition team has shot 10+ times in 75% (six) of Liverpool's eight league games this season.

Today's Football Fixtures

Brentford were terrific at West Ham on Monday night, recording 22 attempts at goal, which should instil confidence heading into the weekend.

Under Thomas Frank last season, the Bees shot 11 times in a 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool (January 2025), and they've managed 10+ shots in all four Premier League home matches against the Merseyside giants since earning promotion to the top flight in 2021.

Match Result & Both Teams to Score - Liverpool & Yes @ 15/8

Liverpool were on a four-game losing run heading into their midweek trip to Frankfurt, but they gloriously ended their streak, battering the Bundesliga side 5-1 at Deutsche Bank Park.

That win should restore some confidence in the Reds ranks, but they were 1-0 down after 26 minutes, conceding in an eighth consecutive match, and Brentford will fancy their chances of securing a positive result on Saturday, particularly after their own morale-boosting victory over West Ham on Monday.

The Bees have scored in all but one of their eight league games this season, only failing to breach Man City's defence in a 1-0 defeat at the Gtech on October 5.

Certainly, I can see Andrews' men getting on the scoresheet this weekend, but I'm backing Slot's side to come up trumps in west London, with Hugo Ekitike, Wirtz and Cody Gakpo all impressing on Wednesday.

Injuries to Frimpong and Isak have made Slot's life easier, in my opinion, as the starting XI for Saturday starts to look more obvious, and that may help the Reds build up some rhythm over the coming weeks.

It may not be by a huge margin, but I fancy Liverpool to return to winning ways in the league this weekend against a side they have beaten five times in a row.
