Aston Villa vs Everton Stats-Based Bet Builder Tips: 25/1 shot for home joy

Aston Villa will look to keep their push for a top-four finish going this weekend as they host Everton at Villa Park (16:30 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event).
Unai Emery’s men were held to a draw last time out in the league, but did progress in the FA Cup with success over Tottenham Hotspur. Below you can find my Aston Villa vs Everton Stats-Based Bet Builder Tips as I search for a winner in this Premier League clash.

Aston Villa to win
Quite an obvious place to start, but I do think Aston Villa will win this game fairly comfortably. They are one of the best teams in the Premier League this season, and at Villa Park, they are imperious. Eight wins, one draw and one defeat in the league has carried them towards top spot, and only Arsenal have beaten them in their last 15 outings home or away.
Everton are Everton. Twelfth in the Premier League, one win in seven in all competitions and out of the FA Cup. Despite their reasonable away form, it would be a massive surprise if they get something from this one, up against one of the best teams around right now.
Emiliano Buendia to score
Emiliano Buendia has stepped up for Aston Villa this season, and Emery now clearly trusts him as one of his key forwards. He could marginally benefit from the exit of Donyell Malen in terms of more gametime, but he is more effective than Jadon Sancho and should start again here.
In terms of output, he’s now up to 10 goal contributions (six goals, four assists) in 27 games, and he bagged a goal and an assist in the last outing - the FA Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur. I think Buendia is a wonderful footballer, and the odds on him scoring again are far better than backing somebody like Ollie Watkins, with Villa likely to create plenty of goalscoring opportunities throughout.
Emiliano Buendia and Tim Iroegbunam to be carded
I’ll also back a couple of cards in what could be a feisty affair at Villa Park. David Moyes likes his team to get stuck in away from home and Tim Iroegbunam is the front and centre of any cards from an Everton standpoint, having been booked a whopping seven times already this season.
He is going to have to be aggressive in order to prevent Everton from getting overrun, so I think he’s a prime candidate for another card. Meanwhile, I’m expecting Buendia to be at the heart of the action, and he’s an outside shout for a booking, but has already picked up four in all competitions this season.
There’s always the chance his goal is a late winner, and his shirt comes off as well, which would be very helpful for our Bet Builder, priced at 25/1.
