Arsenal vs West Ham Prediction: Gunners set for more defensive solidity

Arsenal recorded what felt like a massive victory at Newcastle United in the Premier League last Sunday, coming from behind to win 2-1. The Gunners return to the Emirates on Saturday (15:00 BST) as they play host to West Ham United.
The Irons earned a draw at Everton on Monday in Nuno Espirito Santo's first game in charge. Below you will find my Arsenal vs West Ham predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Arsenal are still without the services of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Noni Madueke, who are all out with knee problems.
Defender Piero Hincapie is currently struggling with a groin issue and he is also set to miss out again.
Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber are set to be recalled to the starting XI in place of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ben White.
Martin Odegaard started the midweek win over Olympiakos in the Uefa Champions League and he could be set to keep his place in the side. This would likely mean Eberechi Eze playing on the left flank.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is absent for West Ham because of a stomach issue, while Tomas Souceck will serve the last of his three-game suspension.
After picking up a point on Monday, Nuno may decide to field the same side against Arsenal. Jarrod Bowen is likely going to be the Hammers' main attacking hope again - with five career goals against Arsenal.
Arsenal vs West Ham Predicted Line-ups
- Arsenal - Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Zubimendi, Odegaard; Saka, Gyokeres, Eze
- West Ham - Areola; Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf; Magassa; Bowen, Fernandes, Paqueta, Summerville; Fullkrug
Arsenal have won seven of their nine matches in all competitions this term and they are 1/5 to claim the three points on Saturday. Six of those triumphs have been to nil. and this market is 8/11, which has an implied probability of 57.9%.
The draw is on offer at 6/1, while West Ham are 14/1 to stun the hosts - and they did win this fixture 1-0 last season.
Arsenal are 8/13 to keep a clean sheet and striker Viktor Gyokeres heads the anytime goalscorer market at 4/5.
Arsenal vs West Ham Stats
- Arsenal have won six games to nil this season
- Eberechi Eze (ARS) had four shots against Newcastle (two on target)
Arsenal to win to nil @ 8/11
Arsenal are looking like a real threat in this year's title race. Their defensive excellence has remained in place but they have made the right additions over the summer to make them more effective at the other end of the pitch.
The Gunners have conceded just three goals in the top flight this season, and just one in their three home appearances. West Ham head here with a mixed bag of results on the road but I think they will find it difficult to lay a glove on Mikel Arteta's side.
Arsenal's defence is well-drilled and in my opinion, it's the best back line in the division.
The same cannot be said for West Ham's, who have shipped 14 goals in their opening six fixtures. Arsenal have the attacking talent to further add to the Hammers' woes, even if the arrival of Nuno has given them a lift.
The hosts have won six games to nil this term and I believe we will see this trend continue on Saturday.

Eberechi Eze anytime goalscorer @ 13/10
Arsenal attacker Eze was unfortunate not to open his account for the club at Newcastle last weekend. The former Crystal Palace man had four shots in that match, with two hitting the target, and they were both well-saved by Nick Pope.
Eze's attacking nous will be of great value in this game against West Ham, who are likely going to set themselves up for a defensive display.
In his career to date, Eze has recorded five goal involvements in seven appearances against the Irons, which includes two goals. I think he can have a key role in this fixture and I fancy him to net his first goal for his new club.
