Poland vs Malta Predictions
*odds correct at time of publication
Poland are the favourites at 1/6 to claim the three points, while Malta are out at 12/1 to cause a major upset in Warsaw.
A draw on the night is currently at 5/1, while both teams to score on Monday is available at 5/4.
Team News
Defenders Sebastian Walukiewicz and Nicola Zalewski, who ply their trade in Serie A with Torino and Inter Milan respectively, have withdrawn from the squad due to injury.
Pawel Dawidowicz and vice-captain Piotr Zielinski missed the 1-0 win over Lithuania and both are unlikely to feature against Malta.
Bologna's Lukasz Skorupski has been declared as Poland's first-choice keeper, meaning the duo of Bartlomiej Dragowski and Marcin Bulka will have to settle for a spot on the bench.
As for Malta, they will have to make one change from the side that lost 1-0 to Finland, as Kurt Shaw was shown a late red card in that game and is now suspended.
Enrico Pepe and fellow defender Myles Beerman will be competing for that spot to fill the void in Shaw's absence.
Poland to win & both teams to score @ 11/5
With the difference in quality of the two sides as well as home advantage, it’s hard not to see Poland making it two wins from two at the start of this World Cup qualifying campaign.
However, the Eagles’ defence is far from watertight and Malta should have opportunities to get on the scoresheet at Stadion Narodowy.
Both teams have scored in 10 of Poland’s last 12 games, and a home win with both sides finding the back of the net appeals here.

Robert Lewandowski to score first @ 7/4
Scoring the decisive goal in Poland’s win over Lithuania last time out, talisman Robert Lewandowski is well-priced to open the scoring again on Monday.
With 84 goals in 156 appearances for his country, Lewandowski continues to be the main attacking threat for Poland, even at the age of 36.
The Barcelona striker has scored 22 goals in 26 La Liga appearances this season and has come into these qualifiers in great form.
On the back of his goal against the Lithuanians, Lewandowski to score the first goal against Malta gets the nod.
