Parma vs Milan Prediction: Goals aplenty at the Tardini

The second week of Serie A action for the season kicks-off at 17:30 on Saturday evening and one of the two games in that slot is the one Daniele Fisichella has previewed here.
He takes us through his Parma vs Milan Predictions as both sides come into the game on the back of opening week draws...
Both teams come into this match with much to prove: Parma, eager to establish themselves in their return to the top flight, and Milan, seeking to build momentum after a dramatic start to their campaign.
Parma’s return to Serie A has been a journey of both hope and caution. Their opening 1-1 draw against Fiorentina revealed both promise and the need for further refinement.
Under the guidance of manager Fabio Pecchia, the Ducali displayed resilience and a solid defensive structure, but they also showed a lack of clinical finishing that could be costly as the season progresses. Dennis Man, who netted Parma’s first goal of the season, was a bright spark in their attack.
His growing partnership with Adrian Benedyczak and Ange-Yoan Bonny offers promise, yet consistency remains elusive.
Defensively, the hosts were largely solid, with Zion Suzuki, the first Japanese goalkeeper in Serie A, making a memorable debut. However, a late error by Suzuki led to the free-kick from which Fiorentina equalized.
The Rossoneri, on the other hand, started their season with a 2-2 draw against Torino.
It was a game of two halves for Milan: after going down 2-0, they showed remarkable resilience to fight back and earn a draw, thanks to goals from substitutes Alvaro Morata and Noah Okafor. While the comeback highlighted Milan’s fighting spirit, it also exposed defensive frailties that could be exploited by a counter-attacking team like Parma.
The ease with which Torino breached Milan’s defense will be a concern for manager Paulo Fonseca.
On the attacking front, Milan’s depth was on display, with impactful performances from their substitutes. Reijnders and Okafor, in particular, will be pushing for starts, while Hernandez’s expected return to the line-up could add much-needed dynamism to the left flank.
Team News:
Parma are expected to stick with the 4-3-3 formation that served them well against Fiorentina. Zion Suzuki will continue in goal, eager to make amends for his previous mistake. The defence will likely include Delprato, Circati, Osorio (if fit), and Valenti.
In midfield, the trio of Simon Sohm, Adrian Bernabe, and Drissa Camara will play a pivotal role in disrupting Milan’s rhythm. Up front, Dennis Man, Bonny, and Benedyczak will lead the charge.
AC Milan are likely to deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation. Mike Maignan will start in goal, with a back four of Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, and Hernandez. In midfield, Reijnders and Fofana are expected to anchor the team, with Chukwueze, Pulisic, and Leao providing creativity behind Jovic, who will likely lead the line.
The visitors are the clear favourites at 7/10, largely due to Parma’s run of nine consecutive Serie A defeats before last weekend’s draw.
Parma is given longer odds of 4/1, while the draw stands at 11/4.
For total goals, the odds lean towards under 2.5 goals at 4/6, reflecting Milan’s 11 single-goal victories last season. However, with Milan’s recent high-scoring games and Parma’s tendency to see both teams score at home, the over 2.5 goals option and both teams to score both at 4/6 are appealing bets.

Both Teams to Score (BTTS) – Yes @ 4/6
Parma showed attacking potential in their draw against Fiorentina and will look to capitalize on their home advantage. AC Milan, despite their attacking firepower, demonstrated defensive vulnerabilities in their match against Torino.
Both teams have shown they can score, making a BTTS bet a strong option for this match.
Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/6
Milan’s recent matches have been high-scoring affairs, particularly on the road, where 15 of their 19 away games last season ended with over 2.5 goals.
The combination of Parma’s willingness to attack and Milan’s proven ability to find the net suggests that betting on over 2.5 goals is a smart choice.
Furthermore, Noah Okafor has started the season in promising form, scoring as a substitute against Torino, his sixth Serie A goal off the bench.
With Morata out, backing the Swiss striker to score anytime at 7/4 could be a shrewd bet.
