Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 9/1 four-fold from Tuesday’s selection

There’s more football action to come on Tuesday and we could be about to witness more high-scoring games from both the women’s competition at the Olympics in Paris and the Leagues Cup in the USA.

USA Olympic Women v Germany Olympic Women

Two heavyweights of the women’s game are preparing to go head-to-head once again as the USA face Germany in the Olympic semi-finals.

These sides have already faced each other in Group B of this tournament, with the USA running out 4-1 winners against the Germans at the Stade de Marseille.

With so much attacking talent on show, and given how their recent meeting played out in Marseille, over 2.5 goals at the Stade de Lyon on Tuesday forms the first part of this four-fold.

Brazil Olympic Women v Spain Olympic Women

Tuesday’s other semi-final sees Brazil and Spain face off at the Stade de Marseille in what should be another high-scoring affair.

These sides have also already met in this competition, with Spain earning a 2-0 win over Brazil in Group C.

While that group game did fall short of the 2.5, it was a match that saw Spain have no less than 27 shots at goal, with 10 on target.

If Spain can be a bit more clinical in the final third against Brazil in Marseille, the goals should flow.

FC Cincinnati v New York City FC

Moving on to action from the Leagues Cup, MLS sides FC Cincinnati and New York City FC are preparing to go head-to-head for the first time in the competition.

These sides have faced off 11 times in the MLS previously and they tend to be high-scoring affairs, with 46 goals across those games.

Looking back at the 11 matches, a bet on over 2.5 goals would have landed in nine of those encounters and we expect it to come in again at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.

Houston Dynamo v Real Salt Lake

Capping off this four-fold at just slightly better odds of 9/1, we turn our attention to the Shell Energy Stadium as the Houston Dynamo host Real Salt Lake.

These sides met in the MLS just last month at Rio Tinto Stadium, with Real winning the encounter 3-2 on home soil.

Andres Gomez, Diego Luna and Inrahim Aliiyu all found the back of the net in the first half to make it 2-1 to Real Salt Lake at the half-time whistle.

Expect another fast start between these two attacking sides and there seems a great chance that Tuesday’s Texas showdown will again end with over 2.5 goals.
